Percy Street already pours the best root beer float in town (Yards root beer and homemade vanilla ice cream), but go during happy hour and you can spike yours with a half-price shot of bourbon.
The food is absolutely tasty and filling here. I ordered a pork belly sandwich that seemed rather compact and easy to bite without any major spillage. My wife ordered beef brisket and was good, too
Who knew a Yankee Jew could serve up some mean barbeque, but we tip our hats to Chef/Owner Mike Solomonov and Chef Erin O’Shea for a fantastic take on some of our southern favorites.
The smoky aroma wafting down South Street lures many a Whole Foods shopper away from her tofu. Stop by for chopped brisket or pulled pork with all the fixings.
Pretty pricy for the portion sizes but the mac and cheese, biscuits, and vegan white bean soup are delicious. Pecan pie is not good at all. The service is great.
If you like your beer in cans, Percy Street has more than 60 behind the bar. And if you like your canned beer with pickle juice and BBQ sauce, order the Hillbilly Gatorade. You’ll thank us later.

Southern flavor adjusted for Philly taste makes Percy a favorite for comfort foods like smoked chicken and sweet-potato casserole. Yeah, they made our 2011 list of Best Restaurants in Philly! Read more
Get the mac&cheese and the green bean casserole. Yeah I know I should probably be mentioning the ribs at a BBQ joint. But do yourself a favor and check the sides too.
The smoked pork tenderloin is likely my favorite on the menu. Avoid the collards unless you want to be disappointed, they're a bit bland. Good list of unique beers. Not bad for BBQ in Philly.
Surprisingly vegan friendly for a BBQ place! The staff knows exactly what's in each dish and how/if they can be altered. Try the vegan chili and the avocado salad!
