2 people? 1 bread, 2 chotas, 1 bada, 1 side. Go for chutney sampler (mango is great), cheddar kulcha is a quesadilla, don't miss the aloo mutter, skip chicken tikka
Impressed with this spin on indian food. We tried their take on chicken tikka and spicy pork ribs, both great. The breads are fun to mix and match with a larger group!
Floyd Cardoz's return to New York cooking, Paowalla offers more ambitious Indian fare than most are used to, like Vindaloo pork ribs (fall-off-the-bone tender) and halibut in a watermelon chutney
Roasted bone marrow, curry leaf chicken tikka, golden tilefish with a side of lemon rice. I have never licked my plate clean at a restaurant like I did here.
With the plethora of Indian restaurants in NY, I was not expecting to be blown away. But this place is very fun, casual, and delicious. Would definitely return!
Mediocre overpriced food... do not order grilled pineapple dessert... it is the worst thing I have ever eaten (had a bite) and it is served cold... there are better choices for good Indian food in NYC
Tasty but...it's Indian food catered for Americans - sweet, fried and fat. There was nothing ambitious about the food, dishes lacked flavor depth of real Indian cuisine. Overall food/service was good.
