- Whole place is under new hands. And they have done the place proud, new food, new beer taps, new staff, new whole place - same old ship style
- Patrick MichaelDecember 4, 2015I would highly suggest the Ruben with sweet potato fries! One of the best I have ever had!! Pauly is a great friendly guy behind the bar, and the owner Bill knows how to treat his customers!
- Sean McVayAugust 15, 2013Good selection of beers on tap. Tasty pub food. Try the hush puppies. And get there early for lunch or you will have a long wait.
- M JDecember 9, 2015I don't know what's good here on a day to day, but I know what ain't: breakfast. It's cheap & filling (& simplistic), but if you're looking for satisfying and tasty, try somewhere else. Also cash only
- heatJuly 19, 2013Good ole fashioned pub goodness served in a brick-walled space. It sits on the site of an “Old Ship” wreck from the mid-1800s. Teri says to get some chips with cheese and sausage or peppercorn gravy.
- Mark HeyertJune 14, 2015Always a good spot for happy hour. Lunch menu is awesome. Try the kale caesar, Diablo burger, and anything with fried chicken.
- Chuck CoulsonJanuary 11, 2019Cool old SF bar that actually has a ship's hull in the sub-basement. Ask one of the staff about the history (if it's not too busy!).
- Charlie StiglerOctober 25, 2015A pub that's always packed for weekday happy hours. It's got a nice vibe but is often too loud for comfortable conversation. Get the fries.
- Try the Fried Chicken and Biscuit - #kvpinmybelly : Found w/ @motherbirdnews. Adored having #friedchicken for #brunch!! Nice combo of Cajun spices and honey butter
- Jennifer BurlingtonApril 1, 2014Vegetable soup was really good! And the bartender was super nice and gave it to me for free since the kitchen had just closed. #jobwelldone
- Maybs MJuly 2, 2014Takeout breakfast is served from 8am on weekdays, reasonably priced. The guys behind it are awesome!
- The Bold ItalicMarch 10, 2011This spot was final resting space for the Arkansas, a ship that wrecked on Alcatraz, was bought for a song, and got towed to what would later become the corner of Battery and Pacific Streets.
- Erik CintronMay 10, 2017Supposedly one of the oldest bar in San Fran. It was made from a ship from over 100 years ago. Had no nostalgia at all. Felt like a regular bar. With ok food and some local ale.
- Try the Breakfast Biscuit With Eggs, Bacon, And Cheese - #kvpnewsroom - Fuel to power thru Noon show!! Also. I love bacon!
- J.Fred DeckerJanuary 28, 2013Anchor Steam on tap always super fresh. The BOW (burger of the week) is chef Jake's flavors playground... Highly recommended.
- Amy RobinsonAugust 28, 2014Great place to have a phew drinks. Maybe don't get the deep fried burger though...
- Barbara StephensonJanuary 26, 2012The regular wings are spicy. If you are up for some serious pain (or a bet) try the extra spicy.
- Aneel RanadiveMay 17, 2010Come before 10:30am and get the best breakfast burrito you'll ever have in your life. No joke.
- Colton StaabAugust 15, 2019Acoustics in here are quite bad, but the drinks were reasonably priced and the service was good
- Just a standard no BS pub with a quick bartender. Decent burger to go with it all.
- Pauly, the bartender, won't forget your name. Even after two months.
- Ana Gabriela Hernandez-McKigJanuary 7, 2011Order the onion rings. Hand-tossed fried goodness. De-licious!
- Go to Old Ship Saloon and get the Curly Burger. Mmmm fried egg and bacon cheeseburger!
- Matt BarackmanJanuary 14, 2010Buried underneath this Barbary Coast saloon lies the remains of the Gold Rush-era ship, the Arkansas.
- Fried pickles are weird. They're not what you're expecting.
