The Friday Night Poetry Slam has been a NYC institution for over 20 years and is an absolute me see! Get in line early as this tiny space fills up pretty quickly.
This acclaimed, longtime community spot is prime if you want to spend a Wednesday or Friday night immersed in some spoken-word while imbibing an alcoholic beverage or two.
Get here EARLY for the open mic nights. Better yet, get a $20 "VIP" ticket online, and then you'll still want to get there early but at least you'll have a chair from which to watch the show.

If you're coming here to check out the Wednesday night slam, come EARLY (like 7/7:30 PM early) to get anywhere near the sign-up list once the doors open at 9.
