travel42: No matter the time, be prepared to wait in line, but the specialty artichoke slice is worth it. The margherita is also delicious. Located near many East Village bars and open well past last call.
travel42: You can get a manicure and a martini for 10 bucks! After 11 pm, DJs spin dance tracks in the back room. A lot of fun (if you don't mind sharing your personal space--the area is small!).

travel42: You can spend hours in this store and not know it: If you enter when it's sunny, it's likely to be dark when you exit. It's walking distance to some great cafes around Union Square.
travel42: It's best to buy tickets ahead of time to make the wait a little shorter. For an extra $15, you can go to the observatory on the 102nd floor.

travel42: Don't go during the day. It is equally as crowded at night, but you will mesmerized by the lights to notice. You've never seen anything quite like it!
travel42: The Staten Island Ferry takes about 30 minutes each way and offers excellent views of the city, all bridges and the Statue of Liberty. Best of all: it's free!
travel42: Two words: Big. Piano. Take your shoes off and put those piano lessons to use. If you really love it (which you will), you can take one home for $250,000!
