Duke Ellington BallroomThe jazz legend that this ballroom was named for played his last public concert here in 1974. Now the NIU jazz bands, other musicians, and various fairsattract the crowds.
East LagoonFishing, goose and duckfeeding, possible owl spotting, and fire pit activities are just a few of the enjoyable activities to take part in by the lagoon.
The Victory BellThe bell was purchased by Alpha Phi Omega in 1958 to give NIU a tradition rich in purpose. Now located near the convo center, the bell is rung with every Huskie victory.
Altgeld HallAltgeld Hall was finished in 1899 and was the original building on campus. It is now home of the infamous gargoyle, the NIU Art Museum, and President Peters’ office.
Yordon CenterThe Center provides Huskie student-athletes with facilities in which to develop their minds, bodies and spirits as they work toward achieving academic and athletic success
