If there's a wait, wait. It goes fast. Once you're seated, order some incredible noodles with their house-made pork broth. I think they're the best noodles in Japan Town.
The Akamaru Modern ramen was the best ramen I had outside of Japan, although I am sure the others are amazing too! Get the extra special pork belly, if you know what I mean!
Their CALAMARATA is made from the freshest of fresh seafood. Oh, and by the way, start your meal with MOSCARDINI and end your evening with IL TIRAMISU'.
The miso ramen is the best ramen I've had in North America. The consistency of the noodles, the right balance with the fat in the meat, the right atmosphere, and finally, the nutty kitchen staff!
Don't be scared of the long line, it moves fast! As others have mentioned, cash only. Well worth your time; easily amongst the very best cheap eats in Waikiki. Highly recommended.
You may need to stay clear of this joint if your sodium tolerance is low to average. Their broth tends to be on the salty side; but otherwise, super tasty!
