Neighborhood staple spot. Fried chicken salad is satisfying & tasty. Don't be surprised by Chinese menu offerings which are Pricey but always good. If u ever see crispy beef, order it!

Clean, flavorful cups of George Howell coffee are on tap at neighborhood stalwart NoHo Star. Pricy at north of $3 a cup, yes, but refills are forthcoming. On the coffee list in Summer 2013: Brazil.

The "wake up shake up" breakfast smoothie thing is one of my fav bfast treats in the hood. Make sure to ask if they have the Waffle Eggs Benedict.

Nice service, good portion size and great tastes. Prices are fair, menu not too big nor too small, but just right.

Jen makes the best drinks! I hear the food is good too. Try the basil gimlet, or if you ask nicely, she'll make you a ginger margarita with gin. Just trust me.

The go-to groups of food (burgers, omelets, salads) belie the wide variety of choices and flavors served up at this longtime NoHo presence. Quality was up-and-down in '11, but mostly a winning choice.

scrambled egg BLT came on a single piece of bread despite being listed under 'sandwiches' (i.e. TWO pieces of bread). also had hidden lemon slices and strangely tasted faintly of fish. delicious.

Good place for breakfast/brunch. I really liked that they had 3 sizes of pancakes so you don't get like 10 pancakes and feel sick after eating. Also the coffee was good. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

The $11 wine flight is a great deal, 3 half glasses. And free hard boiled eggs at the bar for a protein snack.

Good for business working lunch meetings--next to train, not too loud, light salads, they don't rush to turn over the table or drag out the leaving process either.

Came in expecting the ribs to be bomb. They weren't. The meat would stick to the bone and the ginger glaze tasted nothing like ginger. The best part was they give you a bowl of water for your fingers.
