Really good food; locally sourced and well cooked. The Scotch Egg was perfect, runny in the middle and crisp outside. Try their own ale, No. 5, which combines very well.
Great Sunday roasts of beef and pork belly. Steak was good too, saffronaioli was winning. One of the only places open on a Sunday, kitchen until at least 9pm. Great modern pub vibe.
Another way to avoid the heat is to sit in the rather charming courtyard at the back. They've made an effort to give it a style other than 'generic beer garden'. Nice.
