If you’re doing a Sintra day trip, I would recommend Moorish castle and the Pena Palace. Can buy your tickets online in advance for a slight discount too. View from it is breathtaking.
It's open at 10AM. I suggest that you go here early to avoid the long queues. Also, if you're planning to visit other Sintra sites, best to get the package available at the ticket counter.

It really looks like what it is on the photo. Gorgeous! We just hiked up the palace from the entrance instead of taking the 3€ transport bus. High cross is worth the hike. The view is phenomenal.

A must-see for all Lisbon visitors. Take the tramway here to go to Belém. Take the lively Rua Augusta by passing through the Arc of Triumph. You can go up the arc for a wonderful view.

Love the Art Nouveau decor. Feels like time traveling to a previous era, especially since you have to find and ring the doorbell to get in. The main seating area is non-smoking but not smoke free.

This old factory is transformed to a nice small village with nice shops, bars, foods & drinks! Weekend is the best time to go & don't forget to checkout the rooftop on the 4th to have a great view! :)

Closed for centuries, reopened in 2015. Lisbon's 2nd biggest park. Superb city and castle views and a shady picnic park with playground, orchard, and peaceful kiosk.
Beautiful garden, small ponds and ducks, better than the botanical garden in Lisbon, free access and great place for picnics. For those who are lazy, there are two cafe places for drinks and food.
Go there without plans. Walk around. Grab some coffee or buy local goods if it's a day with farmer's market. Don't rush it though. Take time to soak it in.
A wonderful museum (ceramics, paintings, household items). Plan at least 3 hours for a visit. Sundays after 14:00 enter free. After the visit, take a walk in the park, it is beautiful
The Church is free & there's no queue. (and better than the Monestary) however if you want to go in, don't stand in the queue. Walk 200m to archaelogy museum & buy your ticket there. Saves an hour!

Would absolutely recommend anyone visiting Lisbon to come here. It is the largest aquarium in Europe and beautiful. Worth buying a ticket for the temporary exhibit as well!

My lunch here was like magic. I sat down and was about to order the garlic shrimp, and then they brought me a plate of garlic shrimp. Then I was about to order bread, and it magically arrived.

Amazing fado (no cover charge!) and great food (aubergine toast and seafood salad). It's quite small so make sure you book in advance. A great way to hear fado while avoiding the tourist traps!
We had a great Sunday lunch here. If sunny, the outdoor seating is great to enjoy the views over the square. Food was super tasty, with special mention to the shrimp pancakes!
Fantastic cheese shop to sample over 60 top homemade cheeses from small regional producers otherwise inaccessible in the capital. They serve a five-cheese plate with drinks.

7 Colinas pizza is a great and unique taste, very very delicious. Service is superb. The house wine is very good as well. Generous portions both in food and drinks.
This is similar to Mercado da Ribeira but on a scale both grander and smaller. This opulent food court is housed in an old palace right near the CNC. Has Five restaurants and a general seating area.

Astonishing aqueduct, striding towards the monastery, was build bw 1593-1613 to supply water to thirsty monks. 180 arches, best seen just off Leiria Rd, 2.3km from town. You can climb on top.
The inside of the cathedral is one if the most impressive I've ever seen. No Photos allowed, which makes perfect sense. You must see this in person. Incredible carving and gild work.
If you see 1 church in Porto, this is it. The nave should be high on your list. Eerily atmospheric catacombs where Porto citizens were once buried. Powerful sacred art and sculptural works.

We went for a classic tour with tasting at the end. It cost 15€ and it is well worth it. After the tour, you can stop at Vinum restaurant which is a bit pricey, but the view of Porto is spectacular.
