- Kevin ToJanuary 8, 2016Food arrives incredibly fast, great portions and affordable prices. Must try the House Special Lobster! Not to mention there is also complementary Valet Parking. Go on a week night to avoid the crowd.
- LeVan GreeneJune 6, 2022This spot was highly recommended. The lobster on a bed of garlic noodles was delicious be prepared it's a lot family style. Highly recommend.
- Best Chinese food in LA! The lobster and bo luc lac are obvious must-orders. If you have a big party and want to spend, the elephant clam is a great choice as well. Do it 2 ways: sashimi and fried.
- Awesome place for seafood. The lobster dish is cooked with a lot of variety of spices from Vietnam which is quite different from the normal Chinese food.
- jennifer hanNovember 28, 2011much has been said about the lobster: it's the best. i also like the bo luc lac (vietnamese style beef) and the greens with hollow stalks. no reservations, prepare to wait a bit. it's worth it!

- Gianni ShihJanuary 28, 2013I suggest ordering the lobster for the whole table to share. Can't go wrong with that. If your hungry, just order the largest plate they have! Prices vary!
- Super popular Asian seafood restaurant. Park in the street across from the hospital (right behind newport), and walk through the taco corner.
- Michelle Arnaiz-Dela RosaJuly 10, 2015Everything we ate was good but the lobster, crab and beef were the best.
- Linh LamDecember 28, 2011I have been perfecting the menu over the course of ten years. Get the lobster, bo luc lac, muc chien muoi, and canh chua. If you have room, the kung pao chicken is good too.
- Love this place!! Our favorite Vietnamese lobster restaurant
- Brandon HoangJanuary 30, 2017Lobster special, pea sprouts, and shaking beef. That's all you need to know.
- I <3 bacon baconAugust 29, 2011House special lobster....do it! beef, french style..yummy. Ong choy..yum. Boba, not so great. Save room for boba from half and half.
- Karl HobartOctober 10, 2014The spicy clams and beef loc lac are arguably better than the house lobster.
- Linda LuiSeptember 28, 2012Their house special lobsters and crabs are to die for!!! Their filet mignon cubes are good too!!!
- Sharon TranJune 25, 2013Bo luc lac is delicious. Get the $28 set meal for a good sampling, steamed fish is ok but not really worth the extra $20
- Chi ChiFebruary 2, 2013Try to get there early and park on the street. As for the lobster -- tell them easy on the salt!!
- Best time to go is before 7pm before dinner starts or else you'll be waiting at least 1 hour!
- BKLA CJuly 24, 2010Lobster is the best. However, $15.95/lb is kind of pricey. But it is well worth it. Their kung pao chicken is one of the best too.
- Besides the awesome house special lobster. Gotta try the fish filet on sizzling plate.
- Get the Bo Luc Lac (Shaken Beef/Filet Mignon), they may be a seafood place, but its one of their specialties FTMFW :)
- Henry IskandarJuly 22, 2011bring ur own food and park nearby, and eat there while smelling the tasty food smells coming out of Tancang... it just makes ur food taste better :p

- Go when they open (1130a) to skip the line on the weekends.
- Jane ChuMarch 16, 2012If I was dying, I'd still manage to find my way to stand in the long line and order the lobster
- Bao-Tran NgoJuly 4, 2013Did they hire a new chef? Bo luc lac isn't as good as last time. Lobster was only ok. My party of 6 decided that the drive/wait/parking isn't worth it anymore.
- Gene ChuangOctober 4, 2010Take the Lobster sauce and scallions and dump it on your rice for 'dessert'
