    Newark Penn station is a wonderful place if you enjoy surly service, bad food, bland architecture and a steady stream of vagrants soliciting money from travelers.

    There's almost absolutely no way of getting in and out of here without being asked for change. If you're too kind-hearted, walk fast & "don't speak English."

    The worst quality of this station - absolutely the worst - is the fact that they start to close it down after 11pm. Late arriving passengers are forced to use only one exit. It can seem very unsafe!

    A totally unorganized mess if your not familiar with the station. If possible pack light, it was tough dragging luggage thru the terminal, upstairs and to tracks!

    The best spot to sit in case you are headed towards jersey gardens is Raymond plaza. You can see route 40 as well as 62.

    You really don't want buffer time here. It's a pretty miserable place. The art deco design is the best part. Be aware of crackhead zombies.. they bite.

    Your best bet if you have time to kill is to buy cheapest thing at McDonald's and post up for as long as possible. Sort of a safe haven
