Best airport for NYC!!! Easy. Fast. AirTrain is quickest way to get here.
Pretty efficient airport for most part. Lackluster with restaurants/cafes.
Duty free shop on the gate C120 side (left from security) has a better selection if sunblock than the store by gates C105.
If you're flying in to EWR try to get an A window seat and you'll have a perfect view of NYC before landing.

Stay on the taxi line the fare is regulated don't go with the hustlers, they'll take you for a "ride"

From my experience, this airport is a little easier to fly in and out of compared to LGA and JFK. Getting there is another story.
Waaaaay better than before. Better food, much cleaner, etc.
No CLEAR in Terminal A. Pre check still moves somewhat fast but be prepared for lines if you are used to skipping them w/Clear.
LloydMay 16, 2013There are no duty free in the terminal so if you want to buy booze and cigarettes as gifts better do it before hand.
Go to Iron Bound section of Newark for some good Portuguese and Brazilian Food. Fernandes has great rodizio!
The right side of the Terminal A security checkpoint is hot as balls and slow AF.
Great airport, easy to check in, no problems here really. If you can read signs, that's good enough.
Terminal B has the famed "March of The Baboons" theme music in the background
Don't forget your ticket to get out of the depot if you took NJ Transit here.
The Oyster Bar is the place to sit down and eat if you have time between flights
They serve Red Mango froyo (w mochi topping) at the Grove stand, near the 80s gates
Beware of Air Train - in my experience, it's often more hassle than it's worth. Especially if you're trying to catch a flight - give yourself lots of time!
Try to stay by your gate, specially when your flight has been delayed because they can change the time and gate on you!
Andrew RogalskiMarch 14, 2012Airtrain is on reduced schedule for maintenance. If you take NJ transit you have to change trains at P4 to get to where you wanna go.

Michele SpinkAugust 30, 2012Lots of cool shops even a burger place that has a logo that looks like GameStop called smash burger- PROTIP: If you have time and are flying out of Terminal A, go through much faster security at Terminal C, then take the shuttle to A at gate C71.
great alternative to JFK.. smooth ride in a white cadillac door to door service.
AirTrain closes at 11pm tonight (Saturday). There is a shuttle on the arrivals level though. Also only Terminal C has Chase Bank ATMs.

I'm pretty sure they spray down the entire airport in cheap cologne rather than cleaning it... I know that trick...
