Pretty efficient airport for most part. Lackluster with restaurants/cafes.
If you have a smart phone, save time and paper by not printing out a ticket and letting the security/gate agents just scan the barcode on you phone after you have done the electronic check-in ^_^.
Best airport for NYC!!! Easy. Fast. AirTrain is quickest way to get here.

Go to Iron Bound section of Newark for some good Portuguese and Brazilian Food. Fernandes has great rodizio!

Andrew RogalskiMarch 14, 2012Airtrain is on reduced schedule for maintenance. If you take NJ transit you have to change trains at P4 to get to where you wanna go.
Get here way early .. Not because it's so fun to be here, but because the lines are always miserable.
Facu CerniMarch 25, 2013This is the first airport where people sits in the floor instead of chairs, except for one or two contortionist.
From my experience, this airport is a little easier to fly in and out of compared to LGA and JFK. Getting there is another story.
Lauren WillardAugust 2, 2012This airport is a real pain to navigate around! Shuttles for terminals A to C are at gates C71 and A21.
No CLEAR in Terminal A. Pre check still moves somewhat fast but be prepared for lines if you are used to skipping them w/Clear.
Points for easy access to NYC but they just don't have best food options. Also, mobile reception sucks!
Susan KingSeptember 1, 2016Nothing but crowds at Southwest's gates at Terminal A. Security is almost always a mess! Just exiting this terminal is tough so you know getting in will be even harder!
Long lines. Quite unorganized security check. Come 3 hrs. in advance to make it to the flight
Don't forget your ticket to get out of the depot if you took NJ Transit here.
The Oyster Bar is the place to sit down and eat if you have time between flights

Great airport, easy to check in, no problems here really. If you can read signs, that's good enough.
If you're flying in to EWR try to get an A window seat and you'll have a perfect view of NYC before landing.

Check bags curb side.. Print ticket prior to arrival and try to stay very patient..
D TMarch 6, 2014People are concerned that the new scanners could lead to pictures of their genitals on the Internet. Apparently no one has told them that without pictures of genitals, there would be no Internet.
- PROTIP: If you have time and are flying out of Terminal A, go through much faster security at Terminal C, then take the shuttle to A at gate C71.
If you are flying out of Terminal A be sure to get food before TSA because options are severely limited afterwards.
Stay on the taxi line the fare is regulated don't go with the hustlers, they'll take you for a "ride"
