Hartje Utrecht: Lots of joggers along the East River. Also nice for just a stroll. Wonderful view on the bridge.

Hartje Utrecht: It took them a while to find us a spot, but once seated they were very nice. I had the pancakes and they were delicious. My boyfriend had rosemary fries and they were to die for!

Hartje Utrecht: Foursquare says it's a breakfast spot but we were here late a night and had a great dinner. Lovely hamburger and cupcakes as a dessert. Also had a very tasty sauvignon blanc. Mmmm!

Hartje Utrecht: Stand in the midst of the crazy and just let it all in. And breathe...

Hartje Utrecht: Get a cupcake at Sweet Revenge (62 Carmine St). There is way more love there. :)

Hartje Utrecht: I love their drip coffee. Old fashioned but so nice! These guys know what they are doing. Their spot on the High Line is awesome.

Hartje Utrecht: Must see for every visitor of New York. Enjoy the view over the Meatpacking District and relax on one of the many benches.

Hartje Utrecht: This is one fierce lady!

Hartje Utrecht: While everybody is looking at Lady Liberty, turn to the right and see how lovely the Manhattan skyline looks from the water.

Hartje Utrecht: For me, Grand Central Station stands for the romantic side of traveling by train.

Hartje Utrecht: Get a fresh lemonade, it's deliciously refreshing.

Hartje Utrecht: As a lot of other tourists have probably told you by now: don't go on the Empire State Building but on this one. So you can look at the Empire State. It's common sense, really.

Hartje Utrecht: This is the Lourdes for Apple fanboys.

Hartje Utrecht: Overpriced but for me as a Dutch girl a restaurant were you have to go during your first stay in the USA.

Hartje Utrecht: Great place for breakfast or lunch. Super nice staff, great coffee and oh my god, the focaccia's are to die for.

Hartje Utrecht: Their size system really works! And every store in the world can learn something from their fitting rooms.

Hartje Utrecht: Great jeans, much cheaper than in the Netherlands. Also, their Curve ID is perfect!

Hartje Utrecht: Get the happy hour deal! Drink, starter and main course for close to nothing. :)

Hartje Utrecht: A must do when you are in New York. Just walk across, look out for fast New Yorkers on bicycles and often stop to look at the view and the architecture of the bridge itself.

Hartje Utrecht: This place is awesome! A mixture of a candy store, laboratory and art gallery.

Hartje Utrecht: Hipster heaven! Loved the chocolate chip bananabread. Mmmm...

Hartje Utrecht: It's just so iconic, you need to see it. Nothing much more to see here.

Hartje Utrecht: For us, this was a great place to sit down and unwind when we were here during the summer.

Hartje Utrecht: Very nice public toilets. ;)

Hartje Utrecht: The first time I saw Central Park, I wasn't impressed at all. The second time, it was covered in snow and I loved it. The ice skating rink, all the squirrels, the hills and the amazing views.

Hartje Utrecht: Best fast food burgers in town!

Hartje Utrecht: For me van Gogh's Starry Night is the highlight of this museum.

Hartje Utrecht: Typical American experience of eating great pizza. Order a huge one or just a couple of slices when there's just two of you.

Hartje Utrecht: This is perfection. They pair cupcakes with wine. Brilliant!

Hartje Utrecht: Get your tickets online to avoid long ques. It's a very impressive memorial, really gave me chills.

Hartje Utrecht: Nice place for a quick bite. Order at the counter, take a seat and they'll bring you your food.

Hartje Utrecht: When in New York, you just have to try a burger at Shake Shack. This one in Brooklyn didn't had a line when we were there and the crinkly fries are just as great.

Hartje Utrecht: A Swedish coffee house in Brooklyn. Great coffee and a juice bar in the back. There's also a very pretty table soccer table and tasty kanelbullar.

Hartje Utrecht: Everything looked so good! We were completely overwhelmed. Went with the classic: cannoli. Very good. But I still dream about also eating one of the pies.

Hartje Utrecht: Overpriced. But the bread and sandwiches are very good and the staff is nice and polite. The pies looked great, but I wasn't hungry enough to also try a slice.

Hartje Utrecht: I FREAKING LOVE THIS SCULPTURE! Excuse me for yelling, but I was so excited to see this one on a cold but sunny day. Snow everywhere but no other people! Amazing.

Hartje Utrecht: Went here to see Sleep No More. I am not gonna tell you more otherwise I'll spoil it for you. Just go! Do it! Buy the earliest ticket available and go in alone. It's frightening but worth it.

Hartje Utrecht: We had ‘A Frustra, an oven baked Neapolitan specialty. Very tasty but also a lot. Fortunately, doggy bags are really normal here. Gave my leftovers to a homeless man and felt great about myself...

Hartje Utrecht: I liked this rooftop bar! Yes, the drinks are expensive and the service isn't that great. But the view was amazing and on cold days they have heaters and fleece snuggies.

Hartje Utrecht: Cute little coffee shop. We sat inside for a while and warmed up with a great latte. I couldn't resist the peanut butter cookie. Crunchy yet chewy. Perfect.

Hartje Utrecht: It is impossible to choose. I've never seen a menu with quite so many burgers. Chose one with turkey ham and pineapple. Just to shake things up. It turned out to be the best burger I had in NYC.

Hartje Utrecht: The best meal we had during our trip. I love Mexican food and the people here do to. Amazing tortilla chips with salsa. We ordered the taco's and churros as a dessert. Absolutely no regrets.

Hartje Utrecht: I had a warm quinoa porridge. If that isn't hipster, I don't know what is. But it tasted great and I felt extremely healthy all day.

Hartje Utrecht: Went here for a coffee and some juice with friends. Nice place. Healthy food, great atmosphere and the most stylish staff I've seen in New York.

Hartje Utrecht: I wanted to buy almost everything here. There are a lot of great jewelry stands and other creative designers selling their stuff here. I went home with just a postcard. Don't know how I did that.

Hartje Utrecht: I guess who sells what here changes all the time. But we bought an amazing print from Natchie; an very cute drawing of the High Line. Perfect souvenir.

Hartje Utrecht: I always love these kind of places. An old industrial factory (the Oreo cookie factory!) turned into a food hall, shopping mall and exhibition space. Walk around and soak it all in!

Hartje Utrecht: We were looking for a small but interesting museum where we could spent a couple of hours but not a whole day. This was exactly that. Interesting, interactive, fun. I made a sand selfie!

Hartje Utrecht: We did a street art tour organised by Free Tours By Foot, which was great. Our guide really knew what he was talking about. This area is amazing if you know where to look. I loved it!

Hartje Utrecht: Sat down to warm up from some serious geocaching in the neighborhood. Had a latte and a slice of spectacular vegan peanut butter cheesecake.

Hartje Utrecht: It seems like there aren't many tapas restaurants in New York. This cosy one is very nice though. Great staff, loved the sangria and the Spanish cheese platter.
