- Katie L.September 23, 2013The theater snacks and drinks are crazy expensive. Eat before or after the movie. There's a McDonalds across from the theater, so you can grab a quick cheap bite and a drink there before the movie.
- Joseph B.March 16, 2015This is the best place in America to see a movie. The biggest screen you ever seen, complimented by speakers the size of cars.
- Katie L.September 23, 2013NO BATHROOMS IN THE THEATER!! Get there early and go before the movie in the nearby bathrooms in the Navy Pier mall.
- Motorola MobilityFebruary 17, 2012Enjoy the big screen and remember to silence your device! If you’re a frequent cinema-goer, select Motorola devices can be programmed to turn off the ringer automatically with Smart Actions.

- candi hunJuly 20, 2012Movie Screening Viewers Beware! You will stand in line for hours! No one will tell you the theater is full. And please do not get upset CPD officers will TASER you at the request of IMAX staff! BEWARE
- The parking at Navy Pier is atrocious. Be sure to plan in advance to arrive at least an hour ahead of whatever showtime you have.
- jonas mMay 12, 2012Bathrooms not by the theater, almost $40 for 2 tickets, $25 flat fee parking, $3.50 for non-movie-sized milk duds.Garrett's and McDonalds close by. BYO_ super easy
- Felipe VasconcelosMarch 27, 2016Quality in the screen/sound, just that. Uncomfortable chairs, with little space and the ambient seems a lot outdated.
- Seating is ASSIGNED! plan ahead (buy tix online at
www.IMAX.com/Chicago) and don't worry about lining up before the movie because you're guaranteed your seats! - G row has the perfect view on the whole screen without making your neck hurt.
- Beth HellerMay 11, 2010Harry Caray's Tavern is just across from IMAX. Great place to get a bite or cocktail before or after the show!
- Christine Velez WroughtJune 29, 2011Be patient at concessions. This place always understaffs for crowded showings.
- Avatar 3D still selling out. Buy tickets online well in advance. Sit in top half of theater
- Antoinette JohnsonJuly 7, 2011to jenny k, i love that too, comes in handy when you do it with a group
- Sascha MehlhaseApril 16, 2011They sold 4,000 Groupons for "Born to be Wild" which makes 8,000 guest. Unfortunately, they only have one ticket box open. This is stupid and badly organized - we are in line for more than an hour.
- Albert EllenichJuly 28, 2011The popcorn is awful. I've tried it a couple times to be sure and it's been bad every time. Lots of kernels and way too much salt.
- Sascha MehlhaseApril 16, 2011And another line for popcorn and coke. The IMAX Chicago management must be stupid. Sorry no other words describe how I feel about this.
