It's always been my favorite local venue. The renovations included widened concourses, HD screens and brand new comfortable seats. It has great aesthetics to enjoy making memories at The New Coliseum.
There is a MarketFair every weekend that has hundreds of vendors with vintage clothing, jewelry, re-purposed furniture to home decor, collectibles and antiques as well as activities for the kids!

Old and outdated arena. small crowds for hockey on the weekdays but on the weekends it gets crowded. im really gonna miss this place so sad to see my team leave but the arena will be renovated.
A nice/smaller change of pace from the major NYC venues. Isn't as much a hike to get to your seats, and acoustics are a major upgrade from its predecessor.

Moving to Brooklyn will be stupid. What hockey fans are in Brooklyn. It's a smaller stadium, it's in a bad neighborhood, and it's not on Long Island so it can't be the islanders so just don't move.
When you sit in the pit or sections 100's They assist you with your seats. But when you sit in sections 200's or 300's they don't care to help you find your seats at all.
Fanatic Fact: The Islanders selected Denis Potvin from the Ottawa 67's (OHL) with the first overall pick in 1973. Potvin would go on to captain the Isles to four consecutive Stanley Cup Championships.
The first event in the arena was a NY Nets Basketball game on February 11, 1972. The Nets played at the Coliseum from 1972-77 and won American Basketball Association Championships in 1974 & 1976.
I went to see the Pitbull/Enrique Iglesias concert on 9/14/2014 I was quite surprised with the $30.00 parking fee. With all this money collected it is terrible that the Coliseium can't be fixed up.
