A great place for fun and drinks. The spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl is awesome! The staff (from the management down to the servers) is friendly and fun. Make sure you stay for the love music!!

The Reuben was the best I have ever tasted. The ambience is upbeat, with Irish folk music playing in the background. I was very touched by the commemorative shovel from 9-11 on the wall.

A friend and I were in Alexandria with our two ten-year-olds. It can be tough to find a place that has something to appeal to the kids where the grownups want to eat, but Murphy's fit the bill.

My favorite place to eat when I am in the DC area. I love their meat pie with gravy and taters! I've been here the past 2 times I have visited DC. I look forward to the next time I get to go.

Love it! I had my best times at this place. The bar at night is great. People working there are awesome, and it attracts fun , young and great crowd. Drinks and late night menus are great too.

I'd never been to an Irish pub before and after coming here, I would definitely come back. The vibe inside is great, especially if you're looking for a lively crowd. Good beer/drinks, great bar staff

I've been here numerous times, and the food is always delicious. The crab cakes are soft and moist, the curry chicken is wonderful, I can go on. Service is excellent as well. It's my go to spot.

Been going here for years. Stopped by for a pint during lunch. Lunch nachos are huge and very tasty. Enough food for two people. The atmosphere is always awesome here. Good beer and great people!

Steak Thursday is a must! Shrimp Killarney and Irish egg rolls start you off just right, While the fish and chips are just about perfect! Come for food, great music and a great staff!

mmmm. lovely shepherd's pie and beer. at night, they also have live music (at least on the weekends). it's very inviting and a nice place to spend a low-key evening.

This is a fun, fun bar! Lots of great beer on tap and good food. Every time I've been in there's been a guitar singer with lots of sing alongs and interaction. Way too much fun!

Stopped in for dinner and was pleasently surprised with 1/2 priced entrees and beers. My wife had the Irish stew and I had the pot pie, both were excellent.

Met my friend and her dad her for a quick brunch on a Sunday around 11am. We all enjoyed the brunch specials for $9.95 consisting of Belgium Waffles, Crab Benedict, and Ham n Cheese Quiche.

The boyfriend and I had a jolly good time here. Music and atmosphere was good. Our server had perfect timing. Their fish and chips was the best I ever had!

I don't know if it's a regular thing or not, but every time I've gone in there's been live music. The food & service are good. The prices are reasonable. I make sure I go once every time I go to DC.

I have been coming to Murphy's for about 8 years now for the Patriots games and it is always a great time. Prices are good, food is awesome and the staff is awesome.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed the food. We had hamburgers and chicken tenders for starters. I loved the Irish music playing in the background.

The atmosphere is cozy and reminds me of the pubs near where I lived in London. The fireplace is great to warm yourself by on chilly days.

The bill was surprising low for the 4 of us. We drank beers all night and a couple of shots. So not bad at all. I'm sure we will be back some time down the road.

The bartender was excellent! She was friendly, funny, and attentive. Reasonably priced, good live music, and a good crowd. I will definitely be back, worth a visit.

This is definitely a 5-star pub!! The staff was attentive and we had prompt service. I can see why every seat was taken and the pub was standing room only!!

You can always rely on Murphy's for a GRAND ol' time in Old Town! Get there early for a seat though. Don't forget to check out the 2nd floor, too. :)

We tried Murphy's and the fish portions were large, very fresh and tasty, price was good and the chips were fresh cut potato slices.

Thursday night steak specials are pretty great, and the crab cakes were awesome. I would definitely return to this place if I'm in Alexandria again.

Great atmosphere! Tons of fun on a Friday or Saturday night. Good food, but get there early to be able to find a table.

Trivia night on Tuesdays is a lot of fun and not too difficult. There's also a ton of seating upstairs for large groups.

This is a very fun place. Our server Maria was extremely friendly and helpful. The Sheppards pie she recommended was awesome.

Excellent food. Good service. Only downfall was the live music was extremely loud - but the artist was very good.

Closed the bar here many nights. Great crowd, awesome music & Irish cidar on tap. If you're here for dinner, you can't go wrong with the Jameson's Strip Steak.
