Went here two hours before closing time, which was enough to see the exhibitions that you wanted to see. Very interesting place, with many things to see. Good for all ages!
The PearlJamexhibit was one of the most overwhelming experiences. If you are a fan - this is a must do! Also loved the Nirvana and Jimi Hendrixexhibits.
Especially Make sure to see the Nirvana Exhibit (central), PearlJamexhibit (South), & Horrorexhibit (south). Nirvana needs the most time to get the most out of it. U Need 1.5hr-4hr total at MoPop
I was expecting something more/else. Do not know myself what exactly, so all I saw was kind of good. Music part about Nirvana, Jimi and PJ was my favorite. While movies were just fun to take photos.
Super cool museum, I loved the fantasy exhibit! Well worth a visit even if you're only in town for a few days. They offer student tickets and combo tickets with the space needle.
Such nice place, you can try playing some musicinstruments, see a little about Nirvana and J. Hendrix, Hello Kittyexhibition was there also. Lots of fun!
Hard to miss the giant tower of guitars. Lots of things to do and see if you're into video games, fantasy stories and guitars and music, esp Hendrix and Nirvana
super cool pop culture exhibits! there's a lot of care put into the exhibits and decor. you can tell this is a museum by and for people who love music, film, and the arts.
What a blast we had here. A full immersion on the history of music. Plus, you can have your own moment of "fame" playing instruments, singing etc, in the lab sound. Perfect place for all the family!
if you're at all interested in the various forms of modern entertainment and how they came to be, I would highly recommend. make sure you watch the video interviews, they're fantastic!
Nirvana exhibit (punk music) is great. The Sky Church is interesting...gift shops have excellent selection of funko pop and other alt toys. Good for collectors
This place is wicked awesome and offers a great militarydiscount! From the Sky Church to each of the exhibits, if you're a fan of music, sci-fi, & pop culture you're in for a treat! A must see!
Surprises around every corner, and well worth a visit while in Seattle. I was fortunate enough to see the Jim Henson exhibit, which had me reflecting back to my childhood.
I've never had a bad time here! Every room is always interesting. It never gets old or boring due to the fun and topical rotating shows. It has something captivating for all ages. Truly an experience.
Just love this place, probably the best place to be in Seattle! Spend four hours in two days and really enjoy its music lab, learned some tricks, singing skills and instruments. LOVE THIS, MUST BE!
The museum is small enough to see every exhibit that interests you and big enough to get your money's worth. Get your tickets online, and plan some time to hang out at the Sky Church...
Building architecture from the outside is stunning but once you are in there is not that much to see. The horrormovie and fantasy land exhibition are the best.
Dedicated to contemporary pop culture, music, and science fiction, exhibits here are largely interactive — the Sound Lab allows visitors to explore the latest in musical gear and audio technology.
If you are a movie junkie, stick to the first floor for Horror, Sci-fi and Fantasy filmmemorabilia. The second floor has a wing dedicated to musical influencers and an electronic room for gamers.
This place is awesome, specially the part where you can play with all kinds of musicalinstruments. I am a fan of Nirvana, and as so, I really enjoyed the exhibition.
The music focused stuff is great, but there's a lot more here. The film and culture focused exhibits are also excellent, just wish it stayed open later.
The museum takes you through music history by immersing you in nearly 80,000 artifacts including photos, sound archives, costumes and musicalinstruments from notable artists.
Don't forget to check out the visiting exhibitions (esp. the scream booth and the projector in the Horror one). The new Lego exhibition is pretty cool too!
Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, this shrine to rock music and sci-fi is covered by 21,000 aluminum shingles, each painted to emulate the finish of an electric guitar. (From Aerial America) Read more
EMP is a fantastic interactive museum invented by Paul Allen. The Sky Church (EMP's concert hall) boasts state-of-the-art sound & lighting along with one of the best digital screens I have ever seen.
