Nancy CJune 14, 2017Remodeled old beach lodge. Nice room furnishings (with a few leftovers, like super small bathroom). We had a room right on the beach. Gorgeous sunset from the mid century modern/beach chic lobby bar.
Michael FoxJanuary 28, 2018Non-ocean views are of the parking lot, and there is ridiculous fan noise coming from all directions. Plus, the freeway noise.

Stay ocean side. If you stay in the freeway side you will hear traffic all night. Bonus is the train will shake your room all night as well.

Matt WittigSeptember 9, 2010Respectable dog friendly hotel set right on the ocean. The beach allows dogs, but it's not off-leash. A visit to Carmel-by-the-Sea just a few miles away is a MUST!

Nicole EilsJune 6, 2017Very nice view if you have an ocean side room. Way overpriced, the room was loud all night. Staff started to clean up the patio in a rude way at 7am on a sunday morning, woke up from this.- Only two small elevators in the place, inconveniently placed off center in the building. Just a warning foe those that get higher rooms. Lots of folks with walkers...

SebaJune 27, 2017Good location at nice beach but that's it. Aged hotel complex and unfriendly staff. 20 USD for overnight parking. Overpriced.
Have a drink at the bar and enjoy the beautiful view!!
dennisJanuary 3, 2017Did not have our room ready at check in time. Made us (and many others) wait an hour and then couldn't tell us how much longer it would take so we had to bail. What a shame.
Definitely get an oceanfront room. you can feel the surf in your room.
- The restaurant in house is over hyped on yelp, Google and everywhere. It isn't bad, but it is very bland, and over priced. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
