Cash only. Only parts of the menu were available, Music too loud. Waiter rewarded himself with 20% gratuity and included it on our bill as if we were not able to decide by ourself. Food was boring...
Samba and Bahia night every Friday at Miss Favela. Really great brazilian band starts playing at 10pm. The place gets really busy so get there early if you want a seat for dinner.
From a Brazilian born and raised: the food is meh except for the bolinhos de bacalhau; go for the caipirinha de limao, others are just mixed drinks, not real caipis; the atmosphere is nice though
This is definitely an afternoon drinking spot, dead on weekend evenings. Might have something to do with the feeling of being in a mafia movie under the Williamsburg bridge...
Food it’s ok ,but service it’s really bad We waited for almost an hour to have our order.A $30 fee was charged because we brought a cake and had they cut it , they don’t split the bill if you ask it .
The music was really fun but it was so crowded. Of course, it was a Saturday night so that was expected, but felt like they should have capped the number of people inside at some point.
Meh. I'm Brazilian and wasn't impressed. To start with, the food is not authentic. Waiters only care about money. If you don't want to order more food, they'll kick you out. NOT the Brazilian way.
The manager/staff were so rude. My two friends and I were told that we weren't "spending enough money to sit down and eat." We were going to spend over $150 and it's CASH ONY.
Food is okay but service is the worst. They kick you out to quickly get other costumers even if you're still eating and consuming beverages. No respect.
Having a drink of chacaca here is like getting a smoothie and a shot of liquor all at once. Bartenders are very nice. It's relaxed and festive. A joy of a place.
The food is great. The pitchers of caipirinha are strong but you'll forget and order more once the live samba band starts playing. Don't be shy. Make sure to dance.
The owner Angela is just a downer. She assaulted me when I gave her feedback about my bad experience at her bar and one of the owners tried to hit me saying that I "should get a wife" # homophobic
Small, lively place with friendly staff. Make a reservation for weekend brunch or be prepared to wait at least an hour. Once the live music starts it gets too loud to talk/hear. Great drinks & food.
This place is a theme park. It’s not Brazilian at all. (I’m Brazilian, btw) They will put all their friends ahead of you if there’s a wait. I guess it is Brazilian, after all! Go to Berimbau instead.
