The drivers of the electric courtesy carts don't use horns or announce that they are rolling. Watch yourself.
Mao PaoJanuary 24, 2014Lots of food,bars, and shops in this airport. This is very convenient since flights rarely leave here on time. At least you'll have stuff to pass the time.
MSP used to have easiest, quickest security process of any major US airport (and I fly hundreds of thousands of miles a year so have a reference point). As of February 2016, it's a complete cluster.
Normally have a pretty good experience here. They do well with cleaning runways in winter. Good choices are good as well.

Best quickie breakfast. Caribou Coffee in the F gate sells a fruit and cheese plate that is delightful! Do I detect rosemary in those crackers?
Gates G1-6 have awesome new charging stations with iPads for reading! Great perk.

Maui Tacos in Minnesota ? Yep. Right here at the airport. Great food & they even have unfried fish tacos. Enjoy & Aloha!

Justin BirdsongOctober 15, 2011If you don't have any checked bags and are renting a car use the skyway checkpoint. When leaving just make sure you have your boarding pass and check in the Skyway security. It us usually way faster
Kara BenzSeptember 30, 2013No smoking lounges in the airport but it's super easy to go out thru ticketing then right back in thru security, just make sure you have your boarding pass and ID
If your flight is departing from the G Concourse, get there early. Now that every gate has been turned into a restaurant/shop there's very few places to sit.

BillJuly 10, 2018The lack of design is very telling. The trip from F concourse to B concourse is outlandish.
Get to the airport early for the security check. They have reduced the number of scanners due to the new full body scanners. There is only one scanner per checkpoint now.
My favorite airport in America. Fast, clean, friendly, and lots of good food.
If you have a long layover (2.5-3+ hours) and are feeling adventurous, take the light rail to the Mall of America.
Has an onsite Ike's which easily qualifies as one of the best airport restaurants in America.

The water in the restroom sinks are scolding hot! They need to turn the heat down a tad. Use caution!

Josh WebbAugust 25, 2012Rental car goers beware! If landing around 11pm the rental car facility will most likely be closed by the time you get your bags (6am-11pm). no express pickups for any of the members programs either.
Emily OConnorJanuary 25, 2013Some of the best restaurants in the cities are in the airport. I recommend Ike's- they aren't capable of making bad food. Use the skyway checkpoint if you have no bags. Otherwise, gate 6 is fast.
Michael SchmittOctober 10, 2011If you have time, head to the Observation Deck at terminal D. It gives you a great view of planes taking off and landing, plus a nice view of downtown!
Brand new bathrooms on concourse F are wonderful: light filled, clean, easy to get in/out, and handy shelves/hooks.

Jessica SchorJuly 15, 2012Never been in Minnesota before but nice airport (although bring ur walking shoes for connecting flights). French meadow bakery was a nice surprise amidst all the standard fast food chains.
Some concourse are quite a hike, but you can always find a place to eat and I've never had check-in issues with Delta.
