The TSA Pre checkpoint is #4 which is more than halfway along the drop off area at the terminal. (Checkpoint #1 is the first and so on). It's a very short walk regardless though.
In January or February, you land on top a 4-foot thick sheet of ice; may be a glacier of some type. Complimentarycross country skis when you get off the plane is a nice touch though.
Want to do a shopping trip to the Mall of America? Easy access from MSP to the Mall of America. Jump on the train and you will be there in less than 10 mins.
Talked to an employee at the food court who overheard my convo with a friend- subway is way less expensive than the sandwiches at the Concourse GFood Court. Better deAl and say true!
When your flights delayed on f concourse n you have three kids. Barricade yourself at the entrance to Lucky Lindy's and let the kids run around. Lots of blinking lights.
If you're the type of person that gets upset when the person in front of you reclines their seat, I hope you get over yourself one day and start reclining. :)
Airport is gorgeous. Lots of good restaurants and shops. Free wifi. Lots of outlets. But it is huge...so do be careful to leave enough time to get to gate.
One of my favorite airports here in the U.S. Can't complain about the layout of the Terminals and they are easy to navigate. The restaurant "Chili's Too" in G Terminal is excellent.
If you're renting a car, you'll get lost with the signs. A few rentals are off site, but the main companies are on the 2nd or 3rd floor following a long walk through the terminal.
Gluten-free vegetarians: Caribou Coffee in Concourse B sells a tasty Southwestern Black Bean salad. Hopefully the other Caribous in MSP have them, too!
Large, ugly airport. Every single place to sit down has gone completely overboard with iPads at every seat. I know they're trying to be futuristic, but it's just cheesy.
Use checkpoint 6 if you're looking for the shortest line. Also the new coffee shop at the end of G is good as well as Taglia/Custom Burgers at the beginning of G are awesome!
Eat at Surdyks mini deli in thr shopping area. Awesome food, wine and microbrews. Beats everything else to eat hands doen. (not chrap tho). Also sandwiches on the go!
TSA lane at checkpoint 6 versus 4 is 1/10th the length as not advertised on signs. Also has a body scan for my knee replacement versus checkpoint 4 that requires a pat fown!
Simple planning makes the difference, get there early and grab a good seat and do some people watching. Takes the stress out of worrying about security delays. Don't sweat the small stuff!
Stretch out your legs at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with their walking path. The 1.4 mile track leads you around the airport, and is easy to follow with green dots to stay on track.
howsabout when forming a line you don't extend the line into the concourse thru-way and block walking travelers? mmm'k? particularly at the caribou coffee in concourse F.
I love all the whiners who complain about "no free wi-fi" in the terminals. Things costs money. Get over it, or ask your congressman to raise everyone's air fees to cover your Skype addiction.
