Originally bought my Michelangelo himself, as well as being a bit of a shrine to the master, it contains two of his earliest works, the Madonna of the Stairs and the battle of the Centaurs.
Some great early pieces of sculpture. Keep an eye out for his Bacchus.
Home to his original David, but also some part-finished slaves, which give an amazing insight into his working techniques.
The David in the piazza might be a copy, but its size makes much more sense in its original home.
The crucifix in this church may only have been discovered in 2000, and although most experts agree it's by Michelangelo, there are still questions, but either way, it's an astonishing piece.
The Sacristy in here may be unfinished, but it's still one of Michelangelo's masterpieces and should not be missed.
The original home of the slaves found in the Accademia, and a fair amount of other Michelangelo-connected works.
Contains only one work by Michelangelo, but almost contained a massive fresco, opposite another by Leonardo, neither of which were finished, unfortunately.
Home of Michelangelo's late-era Pieta (and, for my money, much more moving than the earlier one found in Rome).
Vasari's tomb is ugly, and not a great tribute to the master, but for the completest, you can't leave it out.
