Get the train to downtown Amsterdam. It takes only 30 minutes. You can lock your stuff in a locker.
One of my favorite airpot even one of the busiest place. First track is good system for frequent travelers.

On the Gatwick Express, skip buying a ticket in advance. There's no extra charge for buying it on the train.

Transit time from Ngurah Rai Airport to Kuta and Legian, will take about 10 - 15 minutes, to Seminya about 15 minutes, to Nusa Dua about 20 minutes, to Sanur about 25 minutes, to Denpasar City about 3
Only 3G phones work in Japan. If you need a phone, there are mobile phones for rent at the arrivals floor. They also allow you to rent portable wifi router, if you need internet & not a phone.
Arrive early... no fun in running to gate and missing out on your foursquare tips ;)

Take the airport express into the city and catch a cab at Sanyuanqiao or Dizhimen. It's only 25 CNY and well worth the incredible view of Beijing coming in.
Basically it's an Airforce Base with only a short length of runway. Probably the airport with the cheapest tax in Indonesia (only cost you about Rp.6k).
