Jacob: Oldest operating building in Houston (http://bit.ly/a31m89). Stare at the bar carvings, put a couple bucks in the jukebox and check out the upstairs balcony (weekends only). Oh, and bring cash.

Jason Wiggins: Get the buffalo chicken mac. It is magical like freaking unicorn food.

Jillian Cohan: Low-key local joint that has tons of beers & specializes in IPAs. Bartender has been known to shared a patron's homebrew. Wish they were open daytime hours, too. Love the no-frills attitude.

Eater: The famed Sylvia is not only good at packing people in her restaurant, she also teaches cooking classes…that's how you know she's legit. [Eater 38 Member]

Megan Impero: I have yet to be disappointed with anything on the menu! Add tipsy onions to your burger! SO good! And the truffle fries are unbelievable!

Robyn Pass: Try OMG Fries with short ribs. It's real sriracha and not rooster sauce!

Jason Tam: Try the Maker's Mark ice cream!! It is buttery, creamy goodness!!
