- Ben KreegerJune 21, 2018Great mix of local Boston pub mood in a touristy area; great for someone like me that wants to be a fly on the wall when I’m new in town! Also, damn — try the mac and cheese with pulled pork.
- Rob SpecialeMay 13, 2013On a busy night if you are looking for a little quiet head downstairs. If you want entertainment, watch people as they come down the stairs. Trust me, it gets better as the night goes on.
- Eric ODecember 23, 2015Named after Michael "Nuf Ced" McGreevy, the leader of the Royal Rooters - the Red Sox fan club in the 1910s. His Third Base Saloon was Boston's original sports bar - and is now McGreevy's!
- Owned by one of the Dropkick Murphys, this is a "Grab a beer and watch the game" sort of place.
- McGreevy's original "Third Base" saloon was located at 940 Columbus Ave, near the Roxbury Crossing T stop and close to the old Huntington Grounds, where the Boston Americans (now the Red Sox) played.
