A beautifully presented bakery & cafe. Enjoyed the Omelette Ranchero, but was disappointed with my bowl sized latte. Good coffee in the US is few and far between.
It's really hard to find a better cafe for breads & pastries, fresh food and great coffee all under the same roof & shady oak. One of my favourites on the Peninsula
Tummy boner: crispy rabbit rillette in rabbit jus, bavette steak in bonito bagna cauda, drunken bourbon bread pudding.1 of the best meals I've had in a while. Warm, inviting, and great service 2 boot.
Best restaurant I've been too in awhile. EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing and perfectly cooked/baked. I would be more specific but I get the feeling everything on the menu is just as great.
I want to ask them what brand of panini maker they use because even a simple ham and cheese panini was cooked to perfection. Crispy, good ridge width, warmth, yum!
The local purveyors who supplied the ingredients for each item are listed directly on the menu: some well-known sources include Mariquita Farm, Cowgirl Creamery, Niman Ranch and Fulton Valley Farms.
$12 mimosa? Absurdly overpriced. $12 pulled chicken sandwich with brie and smoked bacon? Much better and amazingly delicious. Loved the tasty pickles that came with it too. Staff very courteous!
Ok breakfast... just not particularly worth the $77 for 2 adults & 1 child. Next time we get pastries & coffee and save the omelette for the nest trip to IHOP.
If you tell your waiter you want to split the appetizer they'll actually bring it out on two plates and you actually get more than if you split it yourself!
Hot cocoa is delish! Rich cocoa flavor...between a milk and dark chocolate. Very creamy, een with nonfat milk-topped off with a homemade marshmallow. A tad bit on the sweet side...
Coffee was meh. The fried chicken sandwich was meh. Worst croissant. I’ve had in years. Given the price, would have expected to be a lot better than mediocre.
