Jesse: Good food in a huge old house downtown. The cellar bar is great for a date night, and the sidewalk cafe is great for lunch.
Jesse: Hilariously tiny cocktail bar that has very strange martinis. Worth a brief stop.
Jesse: Coffee isn't as good as other spots, but there's art on the walls and comfy chairs for conversation and such. Cozy.
Jesse: Just like Dolores park except there aren't as many drugs. Or interesting people. Or as good of a view. But it's still a beautiful spot for an afternoon picnic. The oak lined path down the middle is worth a stroll at the very least. We'd often make a day of grabbing coffee at the north end of the park and walking through the park and continuing all the way down bull street towards the river.
Jesse: When we were there this was the most accessible roof deck bar on river street. It's a hotel, so the bar is weirdly cheesy and the drinks are expensive. Don't look at the bar, look at the view. Go during the day. It's beautiful up here.
Jesse: I used to live two blocks from this place and seriously miss these burgers. There's one with pimento cheese and bacon on top. Omg.
Jesse: The inside of this place is just a dingey bar but they have killer south african food. If it's patio weather go here and sit on the rooftop patio.
Jesse: The closest thing to Chez in Savannah. A bit more like the old Chez Papa on the corner though - slight stuffier and slightly more expensive than it should be.
Jesse: This place has changed ownership and names since we were there, but even if the food is terrible this place is worth a visit if the weather is suitable for sitting outside. The setting here is fantastic: you're on a dock basically in the middle of a marsh.
Jesse: Coffee shop on the south end of Forsyth. Decent breakfast options. Cash only
Jesse: Best southern food on the planet. The serve an overwhelming amount of food family style at 10 seat round tables. The place often has a line though.
