Great exhibits from the times of the Doges. The prisons mazes and the Inquisition rooms gave me nightmares but were worth seeing!
This place is amazing. Seriously it's the best fast lunch place in Venice. Each sandwich is only €1 and wine by the glass is €0.66 Its full of locals so its a really fun experience.
Nice Campo - do not miss the vegetable-boat or Grom-ice-cream. Campo seen in Indiana Jones.
You can try risotto, lasagne etc, for just 6-7€ only if you stay in front of the counter or outside. A meal sitting inside will cost you more than the double of the usual price.
Recommended by a local. It is tucked away from the main streets but definitely worth a stop. Everything was great and the prices were very cheap (1-3 euro / glass of wine) - known for meat balls!
Excellent Italian kitchen, home made by the grandmama owner herself. We had marinated sardines, lasagne and fried sole fish in butter and lemon! All perfect and inexpensive. Local Italian guests.
You should definitely see these three here; Michelangelo's David and Prisoners, Giambologna's Rape of the Sabines, Botticelli's Madonna and Child and Madonna of the Sea.
