This is one of the beaches of Playa del Carmen with most wave action. Waves are not strong in Q. Roo as on the Pacific, and given Cozumel Playa is even more protected.

You can rent a big bed for 200 pesos but you need to spend 1000 pesos. 2 single bed for the same price but only spend 500 pesos. If you prefer a long chair it's 30 pesos no spend min. Great music!

Judit ElekNovember 24, 2013Few waiters, slow service, lounges need maintenance, they are pretty ugly and used. Pricey. Tons of local people fill up the beach in front of the beach club. :S

- Mamitas is a very upscale, ritzy-style beach club.
Check out the soccer "mundialito" once a year in June on the beach! So much fun !
