Staff was awesome, very nice and accommodating. The teamwork they showed was impressive, everyone was working every table, including the managers. The music was great, the musicians very entertaining.
Though choreograph, the dancers are uncoordinated, in fact at one point two dances nearly bumped into each other. Regardless of the bumbling on the stage, the fire is real and therefore impressive.

Great shows and beautiful ambiance. The dancers are amazing, specially the ones that use fire on their act. It could get a bit crowded when sold out and food is ok but not great.

The very best tiki establishment on the planet... the Mecca of Tiki. Happy hour is 1/2 off everything PLUS appetizers in the Molokai. A dream come true! I love the Jet Pilot and Shrunken Skull.
Sunday is kids night. Ive been told there's no fire in the show. Not sure how many shows a night but ours starts at 7pm. The piña colada is delicious. Calamari and goat cheese salad are pretty good.
This 50-year-old tropical escape dispenses some of the most powerful, creative cocktails. You can head outside to the garden, where tikis and waterfalls add to the buzz of a perfect evening.
Awsome atmosphere, food is excellent, and the service is top notch. Make sure to ask for Ashley. She's friendly and comes around just at the right time to take your order.
The ultimate Polynesian Palace. Real tiki in an era where most people don't know what tiki is. One of the last original tiki restaurants left. Order the Zombie and the 151 Swizzle. You can't go wrong.
Come at happy hour 5-7 and make a reservation for 8. Drink 2 for 1 almost with half price appetizers. Little expensive and you have to pay for parking but it's really awesome.
This place is for special occasions (b-day, anniversary, etc.) for when money is no option, you want to live the “luau” experience w/o flying hours to see the real thing, or just an excuse to drink.

The Mai Kai beef was pretty good (crispy orange beef w a hint of peanut flavor), but way over priced. Good nonetheless. We're going back during happy hour!
I used to go when I was a kid. Always loved it. Came back two decades later and it's STILL a fun place. Food is not exceptional but that's not why you go here.
Check this place out!!! I've never been to another restaurant like it before...the shows are very cool and the inside is really pretty, you feel like you're eating outside in a rainforest of sorts...t
Preserved & popular since the ‘50s, Mai Kai is a family-friendly favorite and on the National Register of Historic Places as “exemplary of an exotic themed restaurant and tourist destination.”
The a/c was almost non-existent. There was a portable unit to try to alleviate the problem. Like many attractions in SF, wait until the weather is cooler.
Okay, cool show but severely overpriced food (mediocre quality). Our dessert was quite good but my ribs were not even cooked well, and the appetizers we had were absolutely bad. Good expirence ba food
