As a gringo cook working the line here, I've come to know and love Filipino food. The pork adobo is a personal favorite, but if you're coming with a group, be sure to start with one of the sisigs.
Don't miss their game-changing riff on Chicken and Waffles with ube waffles, anchovy butter, and a coconut caramel syrup supporting crackly and crisp chicken pieces. Read more
When you’re in an adventurous mood, give the traditional sizzling sisig dish a try. (Shh, it’s chopped pig ears, belly and snout with an egg on top, but it’s tasty. We promise.) Read more
We ordered a Pork Adobo & Kare Kare and ate it all, though in hindsight we really should have invited 2 more people to help us... Love the big portions and flavors!! Service is very sweet too.
Chicken and ube waffles plus the macapuno sauce are everything you could ever dream of. Love the logsilog. And lumpiang. And spam fries. Pretty much everything is amazing... Expect to leave stuffed!!!
Come with a group of people for brunch. Order the Eggs Imelda, Flip’d chicken & waffle, the tortang talong & any of their silogs for a delicious & hearty Filipino breakfast.
Order the Pampangan style pork sizzling sisig. It’s served in a cast-iron sizzling skillet w/ red onion, birds' eye chili, farm fresh egg with the baboy of course (pork belly, cheek, ears, snout)
the kare kare was a delicious modern take on a Filipino classic. and the fried chicken and waffles was sheer perfection of sweet and savory. the macapuno syrup and the baggoong butter together...sarap
Dasilog was good and yes it is a little expensive but it is located in the city so it was definitely expected. The decor & the old school music they were playing was definitely a plus in my book! 👌
great Filipino food. Kare kare (oxtail) was on point. sisig was delicious and the pork adobo was awesome. Filipino flash cocktail was soooo good. can't really go wrong here.
Highly recommend it. The drinks and the food were superb & it has one of the best waiting staff in NY. We ate: lumpiang barquillos, chicken and waffles and bistek with garlic rice. Perfection.
Come here for an authentic Filipino meal, even if it seems intimidating. The staff is very helpful and non-judgmental if you're not sure what to get. Everything is delicious!!

Try the crispy, chewy sisig, featuring pork belly and lesser-loved pig parts, punched up with garlic, onion and citrus. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011. Read more
I went for lunch today and it was incredible. We had the oxtails, shrimp, rice-pig-egg dish-- all amazing. Loved the sauces, too. Will have to go back again very soon. And the dessert, service, Etc...
Flip'd chicken & ube waffle was nice but could have done with more syrup as the waffle is really heavy going. Great atmosphere, good music, attentive service - be prepared to tip well!
Junot Díaz: "... marinated flank steak, ginataang isda (a superb salmon with snap peas and coconut milk, longganisa (sweetest tastiest longga in town), sides of garlic rice, long beans, & eggplant." Read more
Sisig was delicious, my girlfriend had the baby milkfish which was also really good. Large portions and the dipping vinegar is nice and spicy! Bloody marys are spicy too.
Service is friendly and fast. Try the appetizer for brunch. A must try if you're looking to break the mold of traditional NYC brunch. The absinthe spray drink is also a force to be reckoned with.
Come for brunch, get the Silog (7-up braised pork garlic rice what?!) Come for dinner, get the Kare Kare. Hands-down some of the best meals I've had in the city.
Maharlika serves up an array of excellent, modernized Filipino dishes. Find Chicken with Ube Waffles, Lumpiang Barquillos, and Tocilog, all in the same place.
Awesome staff. Dine at the bar and don't be afraid to ask questions. Sisig and prawns are both excellent. Make sure to order the Pacquiao Punch as well.
The Longsilog is awesome and a great mix of savory and sweet. Sit by the bar and you'll get some awesome insight and tips on the food from the bartender.
Go here for brunch. For a great filipinized take on American food, get the chicken & waffles or for more traditional, the longsilog. Best longanisa since my grandma passed.
Get the Tortang Talong for brunch if you're in the mood for savory eggplant & soft eggs. If you're desperate for meat (and a pig lover), Sisig is your save bet.
The chicken and waffles are awesome, but the longsilog is amazing. Protip: use the vinegar, Filipino food is a bit heavier and the vinegar balances the flavor.
