Come in the afternoons and try a selection of their tapas (or pinchos as they call them in Argentina). They're better than most tapas we've had in Spain!
Mint mocha is good, so are the omelettes. Coffee Town is a small stand w/some tables indoors in the middle of the Mercado de San Telmo.
Pay in pesos (if you pay with foreign currency will be more expensive), the food is ok, but the show is great!
Sunday afternoon lunch after visiting the San Telmo fair is probably the ideal time here. The menu has lots of interesting cuts and the beef is excellent. Another great place for lingering
Argentinian Veal Empenadas are amazing!!! Ojo de Bife is mouth watering!! Any bottle of Malbec is delicious!!
Locals only parrilla. Fried empanadas as entrée are to die for. Every cut of beef is well tended here, as the parrilleros are real masters. Favorites are entraña and the tira de asado.

Oysters, tortillas, ceviche, and everything seafood. The nostalgic corner restaurant serving a bit of Spain in Barrio Norte. Beautiful food, ambiance, and service. Must go if you are tired of meat.
Always good, but sunday is the best day to go, specially from 7 to 11 that you have tango and candombe :)

Nice modern and spacious port. Enough check-in desks and pretty mild immigration proces. 45 mins before departure is enough. As everywhere, food and drinks are expensive, and even more on the ferry!

By far the best experience I've had in Colonia! The place is beautiful, the service is good and the food is great! I recommend a Mastra beer, the best one I've drunk in Uruguay.
Food is terrible. Tango show is ok. Much better experience if you can come to see the show after having a proper dinner in some other place, yet all the good seats would be taken.
Excellent service. The lomo and chorizo we had were exceptionally good. Not the cheapest parilla but overall pretty good ratio of quality to price. Reservation is a good idea
