The basement is a much swankier spot than upstairs. Go straight for the bardownstairs and loosen up with the dj until you're ready for the quiet dining experience on the top floor.
Very cool atmosphere and excellent cocktails and bites. If you like coconut, get the drunken dragon's milk. For spicy, the Ciao Rizo. If you like Japanese whiskey, the Mah-Jong is boozy but balanced
The first and last European trading outpost in East Asia, Macao was controlled by the Portuguese for over 500 years. Now, its a Tribeca gem. (Try the Drunken Dragon Milkcocktail...)
The No Mames cocktail has tequila, honey & notes of citrus (lime juice & grapefruit). The Ciao Rizo cocktail has chipotle-infused tequila, lime juice, lemongrass & cilantro (sounds like good marinade)
This Southeast Asian-themed bar and restaurant from the Employees Only team serves a brisket and short ribburger, a pork chop sandwich, and bacon and egg look funn noodles. Open till 3:30 AM.
A gem in tribeca. Sit at the bar and check out the extensive drink menu. The ginger flynn is divine but talk onto your bartenders; they'd be happy to make you something special right on the spot!
This place was amazing! I really enjoyed everything we got, and the other items on the menu looked great as well. Very cool and trendy atmosphere, in a great spot. Would recommend!
A perfect 3 in 1 date spot: food, cocktails and lounge to dance. Cuisine is very tasty, pricy but worth it. You will score points with your gal on the decor alone. Cocktails on point as well.
For two people, eating healthy try the Chicken & Pork BellyDumplings Steamed, Scallop & ChiveDumplings Fried to start and Steamed Fish, Eggplant and Chinese Greens to share for main course
Its signature Eurasian cuisine includes dishes like the Five Spiced Lamb shank served with kabocha squash; the CrispyWhole Fish with wok fried corianderlong beans, and the Macanese LobsterNoodles. Read more
Loved: dragons milk (tastes like horchata drink) w green teavodka and milk! Then the passionfruitrum drink something about being on your own! Winnie also had a great drink the maiden botanical
"Macao’s menu proffers Chinese grub with a Portuguese twist: caldo verde meatballs, Macanese chili lobster tail, and malasadas (that’s Portuguese for donuts) with creme anglaise."
If with a group of people, order the Taipa Steamboat. It includes : macanese chiliprawns, linguica, mussels, chinese vegetables, green curry, jasmine rice, cerignola olives & herbs.
Awesome vibe and decor, food is decent take on modern Chinese food. The cocktails though are the reason you should come - the Drunken Dragon Milk is one of my favorite in the city
I couldn't decide on a drink from the extensive menu, so the bartender whipped me up a great cocktail I'd never had before. Service was great. Only downside was that the barstools don't have backs.
Was recently in new York a few weeks walked the streets and went to the Macau restaurant Trading, where Asian cuisine and of itself, this cuisine is varied, but everything here was top notch.
Grab some glass noodles, something with hoisin, and a Drunken Dragon’s Milkcocktail. Where I go when I want to be mentally transported to 20th Century Portuguese-influenced red light district Macao.
NY. This Portuguese/ Chinese fusion restaurant offers an exciting blend of exotic dishes that make dining at Macao a unique experience. Try the mushroom and truffle croquettesappetizer to start.
Great food, amazing service, special late night menu. Arrive early to get a few drinks at the bar, tell mixologists ur preference of flavors and they will wip something up just for u!
Delicious and amazing!!! Went here for my birthday got a pitcher of rosesangria and it was sinfully good. Also the service was fast and attentive. 5 stars.
The Ants Climbing the Treenoodle dish is one of the best noodle dishes I've had anywhere. And I'm a noodle freak. Don't worry, no actual ants, just minced pork and spicyglass noodles.
the food was delicious. definitely recommend the whole fish!service is terrible. we had 815pm reservations and didn't get seated until close to 9pm at a table that had been open the entire time.
Drinks here are typically more flavor than punch, but was quite happy with "Really." Yes, it's really called Really (cognac, egg white)! Ivan was also a very wonderfully attentive bartender/host.
If in TriBeCa and looking for a unique meal - Asian inspired food w/ cool vibe than MCT is the place. Remember- place is small so call for a resi & basementbar is only open mid week/weekends
Amazing service coupled with great food make Macao Trading a great place for a special group dinner. Be warned, the portions are small. http://www.mecritic.com/places/place/218637/Macao-Trading-Co
Gorgeous atmosphere, great service, top-notch food & drink. Cannot wait to return! Make sure to try the scallops, grilled shrimp appetizer, and those dessertdonuts. Wow.
