First time there and I really enjoyed our lunch: I had the poached eggs over spinach, mushrooms, and butternut squash. The donuts were good too. Will definitely will check it out for HH/dinner soon.
The Bitches Say: B. Lyon Hall is a quality restaurant with good food and a European flair—unfortunately the donuts were meh. Awarded with the Best Reason to Go South and Best Coffee awards of 2013!
Try the French onion soup, soft pretzels & any of the sausages, perhaps w/ a side of spaetzle. The beer menu features a lot of Belgians, plus four different beer flight options. [Eater 38 Member]
I have been in DC hospitality for 20+ years...I was not sold on ordering the crabeggs Benni...boy was I wrong. Can't wait to return! Great job to the weekend brunch crew.
Loved the rainbow of funky housemade donuts—ranging from plain chocolate to passion fruit-cracked peppercorn glaze—the kitchen trots out for brunch. - November 2011 issue
"Try the sausages. Sample from the meat platter (wild boar rillette), fish plate (smoked trout) and cheese spread (chevre). Most of it is made in-house at Lyon Hall."
The Mussels Thailande are the best thing on the menu besides the beer. Also, get the fries, the pommes frites, as well. And if you want to eat outside, get reservations.
The bustling cafe and bar is a place you can bring the family or come for a casually sophisticated couple’s night out. Plates are huge—you’ll likely take home a doggy bag.
Best new addition to Clarendon restaurant scene. Fantastic food, laid-back atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Love the outdoor seating and convenient location to Clarendon Metro Station.
Call it a stroke of bad luck, but I've never had a good batch of mussels here. Everything else - burgers, hotdogs and the various sausage options - are DELICIOUS.
Okay, but not great. Beer selection was good, wine selection was ample but poor. Charcuterie plate was pretty good, and the Skate and Half Chicken were both good. French press was a nice finish.
