Must have: octopus, pizza dough and chicken. All are grilled & to die for. The chicken is phenomenal. I'm extremely picky about chicken as it's often over cooked and it was prepared perfectly.
The pork belly, though a bit too fatty, is amazing, as is the fish with the crisp fried scallions. Skip the pizza dough--it's just pita warmed up. Great for sharing with friends!
Great dishes for sharing. Get the brussels sprouts, beef brisket, and pork belly. And now you can pay with Cover here! (Esp. if you want to use Amex or multiple cards)
Don't miss the tomatoes. The genius chef-owners of this new spot drown Jersey tomatoes in a warm butter. And the rest of the smart, wide-reaching menu of small plates is equally inspired: Read more

The food is still innovative and delicious 3 years dining here. With that said, some days can be hit or miss (ie scallions in the burnt scallion fish TOO burnt). Hopefully just a phase though.
In general I like the place, but it's grotesquely overrated and obscenely overpriced. A solid neighborhood option if you aren't averse to overpaying for proximity, but not a destination.
I retract my previous tip about the burger. It's evolved since my original tip and I'm not a fan. Double patties are too thick and too much pickle. Also no sesame bun anymore.
Overpriced, under-portioned, and lackluster food. If you want small plates in Brooklyn done right, go to Traif. If for some reason you do go, do not get the bone marrow tacos, they are flavorless.
