Lukes has served the best comfort food on the UES for the last 22 years. The cash only policy is by design, credit card companies take 4% off the bill, cash only keeps the prices down & affordable.

I had the Red Snapper was baked in tin foil, it was a special on the menu. Was extremely delicious! All of their food is really fresh and cooked with great flavors

Luke's has great takeout too. Had the famous Mike Wallace meatloaf with mashed potatoes.The texture, taste and portion makes this my favorite comfort dish bar none. I ate mine in less than 4 minutes.

it ain't much but it's my father's favorite spot in the hood. he would chose their meat loaf over Per Se any day of the week.

Not only that it's cash only for quite ordinary but expensive dish (side is separate), the service is so so. Note to self not to come back.
