- Arthur CarmichaelJune 21, 2014If you're looking for a power socket go to the hallway towards the higher gate #s (to the left) - the 2nd bench (as you round the corner) has a socket on the wall next to the far right seatUpvoted Sep 19
- Tugce EsenerJune 14, 2016The airport that takes the joy out of any trip. Crowded and bare. The only thing that could keep you busy while waiting for your flight is the cafe in the middle. There's also boots and pret manger.Upvoted Sep 19
- LukaSHMay 20, 2014If you want full Luton Airport departure experience, get Linda for security check. She's a real b*tch! 😁Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Ian JefferyNovember 19, 2012When an airport lets you buy express lane passes to get through security, you know they have serious queue problems! Worth the £3 pp to avoid said queues. Still a rip off that you have to do that!Upvoted Sep 18
- The "priority lane" through security is very much worth doing if you're in a rush! Great London airport for budget airlinesUpvoted Sep 20
- LaszloSeptember 24, 2018Don't leave your passport at home, even if you come from the EU. With it you can enter the UK in no time using the automatic passport/face scanners.Upvoted Sep 24
- Bartek WitekFebruary 4, 2020Very well organised, clean Airport. I would suggest to come way ahead of the flight as going through the security takes time. Good selection of shops before you reach the outbound gates.
- Best £3 I ever spent on the priority check in. They have little kiosks around the ground floor. Even if it seems empty believe me it will be busy at the check in so break the bank and spend £3.
- Eduard PuscasuJuly 19, 2019I’ve been going here since before i could walk and i can say with much pride that I absolutely love it here. The atmosphere, the airlines.. everything. I would definitely recommend this place!
- Athens Secrets Private GuideOctober 3, 2019Landed at Luton for the first time yesterday and found it a very straightforward simple airport to navigate generally.. I had booked a bus transfer to London for just 9 euro and it was all really easy
- Sarah HannahJune 18, 2015Fabulous friendly nail bar, nails beautiful after 15minute mini manicure. Perfect if you run out of time for this before you have to leave 😃
- Ilea GheorgheOctober 31, 2014Parked with my 8 months pregnant wife to drop off a friend. Car was towed away, with the hand break on, car alarm went on. YOUR SIGNS DON’T SAY I’VE TO ATTEND MY CAR FOR THE 15 MIN I'M PAYING FOR!
- Jacob JayNovember 17, 2018Much improved since a redesign, can exit and reenter security (for transfer) in 30mins at 9am Sat (not busy). Limited seating though, found sockets in The Smithfield pub airside.
- Kiril PiskunovJuly 18, 2016Worst airport around London. You have to take a bus if you are taking a train or you have to be stuck in traffic on silly roundabouts if you are driving in. Always overcrowded with queues everywhere.
- Bring a gas mask for massive cloud of 2nd hand cigarette smoke you walk into when you leave the terminal building. Great place to put smoking area! Welcome to the uk ..fancy some cancer?
- Mark Yerbury-HodgsonJuly 9, 2016Short term parking has very tight parking spaces at the moment and there are lots of dead ends while the change over to new parking . Mid term may be best unless you like tricky parking
- Vasily SimonJanuary 30, 2023The fastest security check experience of the last 5 years. My baggage slid through without them caring about anything in it. It's convenient albeit a bit concerning. 😂
- Natasha LitvinenkoOctober 17, 2016The worst airport I have ever been. Horrible service and conditions. Also wizzair can ask you to pay extra £35 for your "large luggage" even if you always fly with it for free. Have fun )
- It was about time they opened a restaurant other than Frankie and Bennie's where holidays always started with crappy service and indigestion. You can now choose between Wasabi and Bella Italia.
- Steve HobbsSeptember 2, 2010If you don't need to use Luton airport - don't - it is the most inefficient airport any where in the world - and believe me I've seen a few - access to the airport is a joke and wait till your inside
- Rei AtirAugust 18, 2014Feels like an old pig pen. And reaching the city is not so convenient. Need to take a bus to the train station and pay too much for the ride to Kings Cross.
- When booking a train ticket to/from the airport, choose "Luton Airport" - not Luton Airport Parkway. The latter doesn't include fee for shuttle bus service.
- Ben DunnAugust 11, 2019Be sure to pack a foldable seat in your hand luggage for the long packed wait at baggage collection.
- Adriano AbreuJune 11, 2012Even if you're an addicted to the caffeine, I'd never advice you to ask for a "massimo" capuccino at "Costa" cafe. It's far bigger than a big açaí mug that we brazilian use to buy.
- Look out for Taxi touts at the pick up point they will over charge you always pre book or use a local Luton cab companyUpvoted Sep 15
- Edgar EdgarSeptember 13, 2017I like it. Dunno why it gets so much stick. Used it for 8 years, see improvements every year. Security check is very quick.
- Laura HindeJune 9, 2018Used this airport several times now. It’s my favourite one. Not too big, easy to get around, lots of shops and food/drink choices. Easily accessible terminals :)
- Little ScrapesDecember 16, 2017A textbook example of how not to design and operate a 21st Century airport.
- Don't forget to bring some coins with you. You'll have to buy a plastic bag for your liquids.
- Matija PaJanuary 22, 2017Nine top gates (20 to 28) can seat up to seven people in total, on a single awkward bench. That must be a record.
- Anton KJune 29, 2020This place has fewer power outlets than MSQ. You can find a couple by Burger King and near a service door after Arrivals. Neither have seating nearby
- Little ScrapesAugust 8, 2017London's worst airport. Summer peak footfall with walking routes cluttered with seating. No dedicated lane for shuttle buses which get clogged in the regular traffic just to get out of the airport.
- Far better since the renovations finished. Still perfectly serviceable to fly from, but recommend another airport for the return leg if arriving late. Relying on the station shuttle bus is risky!
- If you need to wait a while (not in the departure lounge), there are a few padded seats in the arrivals section, right next to the Onward Travel Centre. All other seats have a cold, hard metal base.
- Nas JacksonSeptember 29Great place to fly from but we had a bad experience with staff. They insisted that I couldn't aboard the plane dressed as a French child's favourite spoon. In the end, I had to walk
- I fell asleep in the car on the way here. When I woke up, I thought we'd been in a horrific car crash and I was in hell. Checked the signs, nope Luton Airport. If you can - go somewhere else.
- Nicholas DanzigerJune 7, 2012I'd say it's worth taking a look at queues before buying the priority thing. I go trough regular security in less than 5 minutes.
- Emily LJuly 23, 2019Imagine a shopping centre on Boxing Day... this is how busy Luton is in the summer. My mistake for booking a flight departing from here, will not do it again.
- Hungry? Stop at Pret-a-manger for a quick lunch or take away. Great vegan options!
- Stuff is easy to find, airport is not big. Only downside is that it has been under reconstruction for a while and that makes it look very ugly.
- Roy ShpitalnikOctober 9, 2018Good restaurants and if you need some quick gift, you will find what to buy
- Steven CreightonSeptember 18, 2018Absolutely shambolic airport. The worst organisation you’ll ever see. Border Control are a joke, expect to queue for hours to get through passport control. Then it’s a 90 min drive to London! Rubbish.
- Michal CharemzaDecember 24, 2010If you're ridiculously early for your flight, you can walk from Luton Airport Parkway. But I warn you, it's not a scenic walk!
- Assyl TobakabulovJune 18, 2015Good airport but far away from the city. Good wifi. Toilets are always crowded so you can use that for disabled person, because they are empty.
- It's now £4 to go through Priority Security. Worth the money on a Monday morning or Friday night.
- I love the way they encourage you to pay £4 for priority security by keeping the standard queue so long.
- Ian SMarch 15, 2014Rather than extortionate prices for overnight accomodation, why not try airbnb.com. Search for Luton airport and there's a stack of low cost good quality places to stay, many offer airport transfers
- Patrick AndersonMay 2, 2013The fast lane security is now £4, however even with the extra £1 charge it is well worth it. Was through to the departure area in under 20mins!
