Fried cauliflower, butternut squash w/ burrata, and steak were amazing and executed with perfection. Service was a little off, but fine. I love the layout and seating here. Will be back VERY soon!
vibe too corporate for me but for lunch I would recommend Brussel sprouts and the mushroom pasta and the chocolate cake with hazelnut ice cream delish. But my fave carmellini place remains bar primi.
Must get the sunchokes, Brussels sprouts, ravioli and cinnamon toast ice cream. Service was a bit slow, potions small, hostess over the phone was obnoxious but our waitress was friendly. Tasty food.
Go for either kohirabi for a fresh cold starter or brussel sprouts for a warm one. The hanger steak with a side of cabbage was tasty. The grapefruit sorbet will cleanse your palette after a light meal.
One of the best meals I've had in the city. Order apps to share: the kohirabi and salt-baked carrots are my favorites. For dinner, the scallops and hanger steak are standouts.
You know a restaurant is good when you're still dreaming of it the next day. Carrots with crumb brûlée, Vidalia onion tart, steamed black bass, duck & kebab and finish with cinn toast ice cream!
❤️the ambiance, the food and the service. Gem in Tribecca. I tried the carb vermicelli and it was delicious. The dark chocolate cake is moist and melts in your mouth. Sandwiches come in big portions
The menu is excellent across the board at Carmellini's newest hit. Make sure to try the Black Kale Ravioli, served with pine nuts and a fall squash sauce, as well as the Dry Aged Duck.
Not huge on veggie focused menus but the carrots and vidalia onion tart were so satisfying and delish. Raw scallops were so beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. Jasper Hill Farm cheese for dessert!
Lovely setup, probably my favorite Andrew Carmellini restaurant. If available, start with the tuna, proceed with the brusselsprouts and kale ravioli (super great) and finish with the steak, rare.
How is it that the tomatillos, tossed with white cabbage and cilantro, sitting quietly at the side of a house-made-duck-sausage banh mi, taste like such sweet, healthy candy? Read more
same owners as Lafayette but in TriBeCa. try the bread, brussel sprouts, lumache, lamb porterhouse, cinnamon toast ice cream. for drinks, the bog on fire - mezcal and infused vodka? 💥
Small portions and not cheap but good God is it worth every penny. Each bite is a flavor explosion, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better I order the Cinnamon Toast Crunch dessert 👌🏼
55 plates of locally sourced vege like beet tartare with horseradish, rye and smoked trout roe, and mushroom carpaccio with cured egg. fnb min of $3k to $8l. Din starts at $95 plus beverages and fees.
The newest addition to Andrew Carmellini's growing empire (The Dutch, Bar Primi) features a vegetable-heavy menu with Italian accents — think beetroot risotto and black kale ravioli. Zagat
Great healthy options - share the vegetable plates and order a meat or seafood dish as your main. Note that portions are not big. Good drink selection, atmosphere is lovely
The celery root schnitzel sandwich is one of the most popular lunchtime offerings. The celery root is cured, cooked slowly, breaded and pan fried. Read more
Brunch or dinner. Either option is incredible. Get the bread basket for brunch and do NOT skip out on the watermelon steak (please ask how they make this, thx)
Had a pleasant time w/ good friends. Waiter rec'd we order 10 plates for 5. We ordered 8 but was contently full w/ the timing of the food. So, allot for ~2hr dinner. Favs: brussels, mushroom spaghetti
Beet tartare, kale ravioli + brussels sprouts. All amazing! Tried the brown derby cocktail then switched to wine, but cocktails seem like the way to go.
Great service & wine selection. Food is OK: liked the fluke, mushroom pasta is a bit too savory, & the scallops are a touch bland. Desserts are awesome! Doesn't get too crowded.
at the bar: order french fries. they're someplace between normal-size and shoestring size and they're amazingly salty 'n' seasoned and hot and crisp and amazing.
The Bitches say: B+. Fresh, local produce presented beautifully in the most charming ambiance, but the lackluster service knocked this down from an A-grade meal. Read more
