Love this place. Farm to tablefresh ingredients, and innovative, yet unpretentious menu. You can't go wrong. Loved the approachable relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back!
Excellent service and food. Menu frequently changes. Start with a build-your-own seafood tower (add razor neck clams!). If they have the cauliflowerfondu - order that!
Such a romantic place! They have a special seafood platter that's not advertised on the menu. Oysters, scallops and tuna tartare, simply delicious! If you're in town with an SO, this place is a must!
A close-knit crew, led by partners Tim Rozon, Kyle Marshall Nares and general manager Jessica Midlash, still make this Old Montreal spot one of the indefatigable places to be. [Eater 38 Member] Read more

The Lobster Poutine is a must order. Also got Octopus fingerlings and the Mushroomtart which were very good. Got the browniedesert with salted caramel sauce and it was amazing! Great service :)
Head chef Chuck Hughes loves lobsters , and his lobster poutine is the poutine that won Iron Chef America 2011. One of the most sought after poutine in town. Foodies travel just to have a taste of it!
Tomato salad with avocado purée is divine. The short rib entree was incredible with the best horseradishgreen beans. And the oysters go without saying. Incredible meal!!
Chuck Hughes is an immensely talented chef and he is incredibly friendly and genuine. He took the time to speak with us even though the kitchen was very busy. Loved every bit of it!

The lobster poutine was insanely good. Great first poutine for us American tourists to try! The mackerel was fresh, light and refreshing just like the waitress said.
Favourite dishes: Avocado, tomato + fried cheddar salad, the octopustempuraappetizer. For dessert, the fried Mars Bar or the homemadedoughnuts w cream cheesewhip cream. AMAZING!
The ceviche with lobster, lobster risotto and the rarebit were fantastic, but the short ribs were flavorless and the bone marrow should have been inside the bone.
make reservations way ahead (obvs). try the epic bloody caesar with the ginormous crab claw/hardware and go for one of the amazing seafood "toolboxes". probs my fave/default Mtl "go-to".
Good fun and tasty. Disappointed that they've selected Tsing Tao as one of two beers to serve. This is Montreal and they are serving the lucky lager of China?!?
The wine is a bit overpriced, but the seafood combined with fun atmosphere makes up for it. Loved the seafood tower and the deep-fried Mars bar is the perfect ending to a very satisfying meal. It's ri
Short ribs and mashed potato were amazing. Duckpot pie, risotto with shrimp were both good but too salty. Lobster poutine was pretty good, but could definitely use more lobster!!
Rich, dark & kind of paradoxical, the thinking man's speedball is the perfect complement to a night of (over)indulgence at Garde Manger. We recommend opening with the crab leg Caesar.
Sundays and Tuesdays to eat and relax, Thursday/Friday/Saturday to eat and get wild (Packed and Crazy)Lobster Poutine / Fried Cheddar Salad / Beef Tartar are must haves
