One of the biggest student unions in the country. Recently refurbished to open up more space. The Old Bar is one of the most famous student bars around & always has a good selection of local real ale.Upvoted Jan 21
Make sure you check out Cats- lots of lovely gifts and very reasonably priced cards. They do tickets for union events too.

Don't forget your ID if you are going in for a club night!
Keep your hands in your pockets and look straight ahead to avoid the hordes of people trying to give you flyers
Don't queue up outside Essentials or Santander to use the ATM; there's a quieter one near the peanut gallery.- The cash machines by the peanut gallery are out of action.
