Romantic ambience. Great date spot. Portions are generous. The three way rabbit was really good. Chocolate mousse in the attached photo was fantastic as well.
At Le Coucou, the menu includes seaweed butter-warmed oysters, quenelles de brochet, Dover sole, and duck with foie gras. Also expect white tablecloths, tall candles and patrons dressed to the nines. Read more
Dessert was my favorite part of the meal. Order the pavé au chocolat with hazelnutpralineice cream and the omelette norvégienne with pistachio ice cream, cherries, and kirsch. 😋
Wallow in butter and cream and gamy meats, particularly in the forms of pike quenelles in lobster sauce and a duo of grilled squab and lobster fricassee over pureed potatoes. Read more
Phenomenal on all levels. Delicious food - halibut is amazing. Pricey and watch out for "house" sparkling water which you are actually charged for although it sounds like it will be gratis
The place is extremely nice for breakfast and outstanding for lunch/dinner. The lentil soup was the best I've ever had, duck was out of this world! Pommes frites 👌🏼 as well as cheese & all desserts.
One of 2017’s most lauded openings is a classic high brow nyc experience. Everything we had was great: crab crepe, the filet and best of all the Dover sole
They do very authentic french recipes (quenelle, endive au jambon, etc.). Reminds me the food I used to have at the school's cafeteria but super good. 👌
Stylish and sophisticated restaurant, so is food. Love the enterior. Service is good, though some additional smile from staff would be nice. 😊 in bathroom they have adorable Aesop hand wash.
Beautiful dining room, good service, excellent food (try the scallops & lobster stuffed in cabbage). Be aware the wine list is very expensive, very few bottles under $100.
Very fancy & romantic ambience. Not your typical French restaurant, they serve interesting parts of meats such as vealtongue and fried veal head. No dish really stood out to me and is quite pricey.
Glorious space backed by impeccable service and super rich food. We got greedy on shared plates and I couldn't get through my main. Save room for dessert!
Yes, this place serves good food, but with all the hype, I was expecting a life-changing dinner. The pretension meter is off the charts. The tongue and pheasant are very good.
Visited CouCou to understand why it has not gotten the Michelin star. The food was excellent. The service was fine but not on a level with the STARS. The first course came before the wine. Not cool.
