nisa: weekend nights there are really cool, well choreographed burlesque shows! get there early (which is like 8, 8:30pm in LA) because the lines get VERY long and they often deny people from entering bc they reach capacity quickly. entrance is fun and different :)
Lauren: Get here as early as possible. Like being in your rich friend's backyard mansion party, hotel themed. Wait in line and await a crazy welcome entrance
Lauren: Great for brunch, dinner, really anything. Amazing bread // pizza, but honestly all their dishes are amazing. Love the dark wooden interiors here. Fun neighborhood, take a walk down Abbot Kinney while you wait!
nisa: Really good Korean Hot Pot. Line Hotel's lobby turns into a bar scene at night/weekends w/DJ.
nisa: ABSOLUTE MUST!!! get the "Trust me"...there are various locations around LA, go to the one closest to you...this location is right by the beach in santa monica, good to go to for dinner after a day spent around the beach.
nisa: owned by sugarfish, another delicious dining experience. all they serve is hand rolls, good to get a quick bite to eat if you're downtown.
nisa: Ok, not sure why the real Bungalow isn't showing here...look up The Bungalow in Santa Monica, the real location is @ 101 Wilshire Blvd. Really fun, trendy lounge by the beach with tasty drinks. Lines get long as hell on weekends (u can wait 1.5+ hours) so get there early (7 or 8pm). Weekdays are also fun to go. Good pizza place across the street that is open late (its called 800 degrees).
nisa: Beautiful rooftop lounge with views of DTLA (Downtown LA). Kinda expensive drinks tho.
nisa: My fav Korean Spa!! Pretty lux for a place that's open 24/7. Go if you wanna chill out for a night :) Good wifi, food, & a cool co-ed lounge area with a rooftop + themed saunas...one of the saunas is heated to 198 degrees O_O
nisa: Popular hiking spot with sweeping views of LA. The main entrance leads to a pretty easy trail, but if you wander far enough you can find more difficult trails.
nisa: Beautiful 360 view of the ocean + city, good place to watch the sunset if you're down in Venice for the day
nisa: Creative & yummy vegan dishes. Owner hosts cooking classes upstairs from the restaurant and lives next door. He is big on wellness and the plant-based lifestyle (so LA). http://www.plantlab.com/
nisa: Ok, i've had a lot of capps in my life... these guys make one of the best ones i've had so far, in my short existence. :P and they make delicious apple pancakes. They have a no-laptop policy on weekends for socializing :) Go there for breakfast/brunch! BTW, Cooper's house is down the street from this place...i've been here A LOT haha.
nisa: ABSOLUTE MUST!!! best (tonkotsu) ramen i've had in the states. get the tsukemen dish. don't get confused with their sister restaurant across the street on the corner...they are practically named the same (weird). the correct place has a large sidewalk in front of it (will likely have people standing in front) and is covered in green plants. if there is a wait, u have to put your name down first, wait, & they will call your name and ask what you want to eat. they will seat you some time after that. its a staggered seating system.
nisa: fun museum, front of it is a popular place to take pictures
nisa: awesome place to see the stars at night. they have a huge telescope and a few smaller ones out front to peer at nearby planets. cost is free
Lauren: Famously fratty, but still fun. Go on a nice weekend afternoon and don't slack on clothes/hair/makeup
Vincent: my go-to for cheap & tasty ice cream! normal and vegan flavors available and they change every week!
Vincent: the museum everyone goes to when they come to LA - but it does have some interesting pieces that are worth a Gram
Lauren: Pretty amazing sushi for a decent (not cheap, but not crazy expensive) price. Pretty much always get their sashimi platters, great value.
