- Toni MaqueroOctober 25, 2013Lovely people and attention! Even the menu isn't 100% gluten free, they make all efforts and care to reach it! I truly recommend if you're celiac and you're visiting NYC!
- EaterJanuary 19, 2017This place takes a fast-food perspective, offering bargain-priced renditions of things like soondubu, bibimbap, pajeon, and already cooked bulgogi.
- HashtagNYUJuly 7, 2016Their seating facing the windows is not ideal for socializing, but *is* ideal for browsing through your social media platforms on their free wi-fi!
- Sometimes, when you order steak on your salad, they pile that sh*t up. And it's a wonderful feeling.
- KuKu introduced a 3-course, box meal ($10) this week. The kimchi rice version, with dumplings and salad, was good on a first try.
- Pelin DilsizMarch 22, 2013The best spot on NYU downtown campus. Great staff. They never forget a name or an order. Jackie is amazing!!
- Beware KuKu's foursquare free dumpling special. The new owner says she's been trying to nix the special since the summer ended. (Following some discussion, KuKu did honor it.)
- Bring a book and plenty of time, if you're planning to wait for the slow, "quick serve" Korean food at WaWa Canteen. The vegetable ramen soup+pork dumplings were good. But worth the wait? You decide.
- Sarah ShahApril 28, 2011Although still delicious, the vegetable ramen is just mushroom ramen. You need to add veggies for $1.50 to actually get vegetable ramen.
- Philip DeyessoApril 4, 2012Ryan is the best...one of the reasons why I keep coming back. The chicken bibimbop is my favorite.
- They have 4 different gluten free beers for those who roll that way
- Jackie never forgets a name or an order. Now that's good service. The food's great to boot!
- Yoshie HopeAugust 31, 2011If you want to avoid a long wait to enjoy your meal, call ahead of time (at least 20 minutes) and your food will be ready to pick up when you get there!
- Soft tofu stew is actually spicy w seafood and super delicious - the small is enough to fill u up
- Pratheeksha KSMarch 26, 2017Mini tiffin was good. It's a cheap meal. To go dosa packing could be better
- Brad ParkDecember 18, 2011GOOD: korean food, sometimes really good, weekly dealsBAD: busy during lunch, inconsistency with quality of food
- I LOVE this place. Get the salad with steak. It's a great lunch!
- Make sure to check in and get a free soda. Yay for free things!
- Jackie is the best. She gave us candy with our delicious lunch.
- my life is so much better now that this place is open late
- Steve MarOctober 8, 2012Recommending ordering online before showing otherwise expect a long wait. Bibimbop not good at all and not authentic. Kimchee fried rice looked better
- naveenJanuary 13, 2009Remember to go check out Wawa Canteen at 289 Mercer St (at Waverly) in New York. (ps: added from my iPhone!)
- Brooks BergOctober 19, 2016Airplane quality food. Chicken was tough and served lukewarm. Forgot my order. Stay away.
