I've been here for an orchestra concert. The acoustics and sound is amazing from every seat. It is a beautiful concert hall. It is simply marvelous from the first step you take inside.

This is my favorite venue in Philadelphia. There isn't a bad seat, and the acoustics are to die for. It's a beautiful, beautiful place.

The inside of the concert hall is simply amazing to look at, and it carries sound like nowhere else I've been. Saw the Philadelphia Orchestra here and it was brilliant.

A limited number of $10 rush tickets go on sale at 5:30 p.m. for evening performances and 11:30 a.m. for matinees. Available at the Academy of Music Box Office 2 hours before curtain. Cash only.

An impressive theater housing even more impressive shows. The Kimmel Center occupies an entire city block and its glass roof is more than 150 feet high.

Pretty cool in here isn't it? It gets better. Check out the Dorrance H. Hamilton Roof Garden built on top of the Perelman Theater - it's spectacular.

Don't try to take pictures. Those ushers are quick. Although no one really knows why you can't take a picture of the orchestra during warmup or intermission. Gotta make the ushers earn their pay?

See the Philadelphia Orchestra for just $8 ($10 if you book online) with a student ID. Tickets go on sale 90 minutes before showtime, and availability can be limited. Can't beat the price!
