7. Aberdeen Aquatic Center
Kay Nguyen: Cheap admission for an awesomely maintained aquatic center complete with waterslide, lap pool, leisure pool and lazy river.
8. Wylie Park
Kay Nguyen: There's a zoo here, as well as various water features.
9. Barnett Center
Kay Nguyen: Take in an NSU Wolves game or two.
10. Odde Ice Arena
Kay Nguyen: See the Wings play, take advantage of cheap open skating in the winter. Skate lessons through Parks and Rec are very affordable.
11. Manor Park
Kay Nguyen: Free outdoor ice rink in the winter. Skate rentals and hot chocolate for $1.
12. Melgaard Park
Kay Nguyen: Lots of great events throughout the summer, including Arts in the Park and weekly concerts in the bandshell.
13. Red Rooster Coffee House
Kay Nguyen: I've never had a bad drink (with or sans coffee) here. Great atmosphere and an awesome part of the Aberdeen (and downtown) community.

Kay Nguyen: Great staff and great products at this local coop.
15. Lagers Inn
Kay Nguyen: Free peanuts and popcorn. Just your average sports bar that happens to be a local institution.

Kay Nguyen: Hamms for $1. Great craft beers. Video games. Live music.
17. Circus Sports Bar & Grill
Kay Nguyen: Great wings, on special on Thursdays.
18. The Zoo Bar
Kay Nguyen: Grab a drink while you can. Good place if you want to dance. Witness The Zoo just once. That's all you really need.

Kay Nguyen: Gigantic omelettes.

Scott Waltman: Finally, we have legitimate barbecue here in Aberdeen. The food is great, but a bit pricey. You might want to split a half rack. Spectacular grub. Give it a try!
