KBH: A park/trail built on an old freight railroad track from 1934 that is elevated above the streets along the West Side of Manhattan. Free, family friendly, pop up food stands, trees/flowers, outdoors.

KBH: The Brooklyn Flea Food Market is located in Williamsburg along the East River Water Front on Saturdays from 11am-6pm rain or shine. (On Sundays in DUMBO). 75-100 food vendors from NY region. YUMMY!
KBH: Easy, fun, family friendly day trip. Round trip LIRR ticket to Long Beach includes beach pass for less than $25. Go early to avoid crowds, train ride is about 60min. BYO beach gear, food, drinks.
KBH: Neat way to see Manhattan from above. Cost = Metro Card swipe. On Roosevelt Island see: Light House, Four Freedoms Park, abandoned Small Pox Hospital, beautiful East River walk; great for picnics.
