The restaurant locates in a building that was originally an opium warehouse built by the property tycoon, Victor Sassoon, in 1906. Then it was taken over by the newly formed Shanghai gov in 40's.
Excellent view. But they turn off the lights on buildings around the Bund at 10 pm, so make sure you get there before 10. Food was delicious, service was good.
Be warned that the Zacapa Old Fashioned is very sweet. But super delicious. If you want a dessert-like drink, and you enjoy butterscotch / caramel, then you'll love it.
Come for the view! Even come for the cocktails!! But dun ever come for the food! They serve omelettes made from egg mix for Sunday brunch! Dinner is not much better!!
The seafood Kingfish ceviche had no taste at all, nothing like what it meant to be. The Oysters (we tried all three kinds) and they were fresh and tasty. That was good.
Drinks menu came as an old one sheet Newspaper as a novelty but not everyone gets it. So it's a first come and first serve surprise. Drinks were ok but not worth the 100+RMB a class of cocktail.
don't order the Lobster noodle as it was over cooked and rubbery with noodles that could have came from a fast food Chinese takeout. Overly salty and with wilted veggies,
