Atmosphere is great! So are the fried macaroni balls! Look out for the train shots-- $0.25 when the train rolls by :) and let's be honest, you're not here for the food, you're here for the history!
Honestly, it's really sub-par BBQ but the atmosphere is what you come for! Take a Top Gun photo and buy a T-Shirt! Don't be too disappointed when you don't love the food. Nobody does.
it turns into museum for Top Gun, the waiters will ask you to tour inside to see Tom Cruise pictures, but food they are serving, the Brisket was cold and dry and i asked to change the Hot Dog 👎
Stumbled upon this almost by accident. Famous as the bar in Top Gun where Maverick “crashes and burns” and Goose sings Great Balls of Fire” at the piano.
Service from Reese was outstanding! The pork babyback ribs were dry and the mac&cheese was ok but the onion rings were very good along with the beer. It was worth coming here for the novelty and Reese
Kraft makes better BBQ sauce. I would have been more satisfied watching the $35 spent burn on the ground. Save yourself and your wallet and head to PHIL'S!
WE DID NOT CARE FOR THE FLAVOR OF THE BABY BACK RIBS. THE SIDES WERE OK ( WE GOT THE BEANS, SLAW, FRIES, AND ONION RINGS). WE LEFT OVER HALF OF OUR MEALS THERE WITH NO QUESTIONING IF EVERYTHING WAS OK
It was.... eh....? Definitely came for the atmosphere. The chicken was kind of dry but the potato salad was good. Personal opinion, just get a beer look around and go if you came for top gun
Just take a pic of the painted sign outside identifying it as the Top Gun bar and bounce. Pass on the actual product. Place was rebuilt anyways... pass altogether.
Probably the worst barbecue I've ever had. Brisket was cold, and pulled pork was just plain bad. The sauce had no flavor, and all I'm wondering is why the hell they decided to film Top Gun here.
