University of Iowa prospective students and incoming Freshman! Here you can learn about all of the "in" places that the University of Iowa and Iowa City are famous for. It's a great to be a Hawkeye.
John Foley: Concerts and Intramural activities happen here. This is a great place to meet people and spend some time outdoors. Its also the location of the Fall Semester Poster sale. -> Something worth attending.
John Foley: The bank to use when first becoming a student. They give great rates and can connect your checking account to your University ID card which is quite convenient. Also, works with most all ATMs
John Foley: A very unique restaurant. The service is fast, and the food is very good. All Noodle dishes of course., I highly recommend The Pesto. Catering done here is excellent and affordable.
John Foley: The heart of The University. No better place to be on a Fall Saturday. Game Day means party time with family and friends. No better place to be than Kinnick. Get your tickets during the Spring months!
John Foley: "Best Breakfast in Iowa City". This is a fact, it's received this title through a population vote since the 90's. They serve all meals, and breakfast all day. All visiting Presidents have eaten here.
John Foley: Arguably most beautiful building on campus. Home of the Old Capitol Museum. Most appealing during the night when its well lit. The stereo-typical "Top-University" Building. Photography encouraged.
John Foley: Most students don't know about this place. Its a park about a mile and half from the center of campus, perfect for hikes, jogging, biking, any outdoor activity. Home to many monuments and history.
John Foley: Freshman should know about this place because of its Library, in you're staying in any of the four dormitories on the west side of the river, there is no better (or closer) place to study.
John Foley: "The Pool" at the University. Hang with friends, meet new friends, relax, and dive. There are three diving boards, one of them is a 3 meter board. Double Flip anyone? Oh yeah, girls show off here. :-)
John Foley: Some of the best Collegiate Wrestling in the world takes place here. Basketball is played here as well. During the winter months, this is a great place to just sit back, relax, and watch.
